  1. Even on the brightest settings, these won't dim until you're ready for a new keyboard (unless you have defected LEDs). Even on max setting they aren't using full power.
  2. The LEDs on this keyboard are actually running on less power than most other keyboards. Theoretically they should last you a lifetime, since ESD won't get to them (since they're housed in the switch) and they're not running on all of the keyboards power.
  3. Good thing you didn't get the Razer Chroma. The switches on them feel nice, but they're just about the cheapest mechanical switch you can get on the market. They break *really* easily. As for the k95, it's true that the USB stack size is extremely heavy, but I don't think that's the main cause of the problem. The USB hub was mentioned in zheren's FAQ and it's probably the most common remedy, at least until Corsair can manage to reduce the amount of power the keyboard takes. It's probably not as much about power consumption, just how efficiently it uses power and other hardware things. But good job on finding an example for people to work off of on how to fix it, if people are looking for any.
  4. Just contact Corsair support or Corsair James and they'll likely give you a new set of keys, if not an entirely new keyboard for free. If you don't want to go through that hassle, you can buy keycaps online for fairly cheap.
