Just wanted to report that I am also impacted by this. I recently upgraded to an iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler. Previous version of iCUE software installed and it prompted me to update to which I did. No issues with iCUE or the H150i, so I decided to purchase the upgrade kit direct from Corsair. It shipped from Taiwan and was installed this week. I followed the install guide from a Corsair YouTube instructional video and everything went great. During the initial install, I forgot my motherboard had two USB headers and was utilizing the splitter, since then I am connected to two different headers. With the splitter and direct to USB header, I receive the infamous red dorito.
Upon immediate power supply switch-on to my PC, I received the red dorito, and no option in iCUE to perform screen customization. I tried to force a firmware update on the H150i and that did not resolve the issue. Even went as far as to connect the original LED header to see if there was an updates available in iCUE.
Specs:
i9 9900KF
Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5 - latest firmware F15
32GB Corsair RAM
Windows 11
Corsair iCUE software:
v.4.21.173
Liquid Cooler:
v.2.6.201
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, have not gone as far as others as to remove registry entries, appdata etc. That's a bit excessive and I'm patient enough to wait for a driver/firmware update. While it is rather disappointing to spend $100 on something that doesn't fully work, the option to refund is always there.
Anyway here's to hoping this upcoming update fixes things for a lot of folks!
