  1. Hello, Apologies for the delay. I just happened to see this question in passing. So, the answer is, the lube held up fine for several months with no returning squeak. With that said, I will admit that I ended up dropping my keyboard and one of the keys was damaged and fell off of the keyboard. Corsair was gracious enough to honor a replacement for me, in spite of my admitted clumsiness. The replacement keyboard didn't have the squeak and still doesn't to this day. Edited: Removed redundancy.
  2. Wanted to add my "me too" response. Actually, I was unable to update my firmware on my K100 RGB due to the iCue software being unable to complete the update. Finally, using a laptop, I was able to update the firmware to the latest, 1.14.58. Since this update, I've gotten the K100 random lockup. Happens at always the worst time, average once per hour. The only workaround is to unplug and replug the USB connection. I've tried much of what many others have tried. Changed ports, removed any USB hubs, tried different speed ports, tried direct USB ports on the motherboard... no change. Continued lockups. Another recent change is the installation of the Elgato "Stream Deck" software so that I can use my G-Keys to control some key lights. At this point, either the latest firmware or the Stream Deck application are potential culprits for this new behavior. I suppose I'll uninstall the Stream Deck application and test it some time this weekend when I don't have work to complete. All-in-all, this keyboard has been great. Unfortunately, this new behavior is very disappointing.
  3. I'm also seeing this behavior. It's annoying to need to clear this message every time I look at iCue. Currently running iCue 4.31.168.
  4. Hello All, This is more of a feedback post but if anyone has a solution I'd love to hear it. So the situation is pretty simple. When running iCue 4.28.177, my type lighting effect works perfectly across all devices. When running iCue 4.30.162 and now the 4.31.168 release, the "type lighting" is not working across all devices. I saw another post in which user @c-attack suggested to create a new profile after the new version of iCue has been installed. That post can be found here: The idea here is that the profiles that carried over from the older version may not function properly on the new iCue version. I tried adding new profiles. Unfortunately, this solution has not helped in my situation as type lighting is still not functioning correctly. For me, type lighting only works for some of my hardware. Example: RAM sticks, Keyboard (in wired mode), HD120 fans (some of them), and my pumps. There doesn't seem to be a pattern with hardware as one of my controllers, Channel 1 will not sync or use type lighting by Channel 2 will. It's very odd. If I roll back to iCue 4.28.x, the system works perfectly. Unfortunately, 4.28 doesn't offer support for my K100 Air Wireless. Hoping Corsair is able to provide a fix here. It's not the end of the world, but I'd like the program to work as intended. Thank you.
  5. Hello All, So after a few days I decided to take matters into my own hands (must be the engineer in me). Here is what I did to resolve my lift-off squeak issue on this spacebar. Note: This process was my own decision and does not reflect any advice or guidance provided by Corsair. The following action may void your warranty on your keyboard, so do not proceed until you communicate with Corsair or are well informed on your decision to work on the keyboard yourself. If you are worried about coverage from Corsair, I'd definitely consider just asking for a replacement keyboard from them. Proceed at your own risk. I decided to add a very small amount of lubricant to the scissor switches. I chose a product by Krytox called, "Krytox 205G0". The lubricant is reported to be non-conductive and is a popular choice among PC keyboard enthusiasts looking to make their key switches quieter. The Krytox product is thick, and best applied with a brush. Since we cannot disassemble the K100 Air Wireless, I decided to get a very small brush (almost a single hair brush) to apply the lubricant. I set the lighting on the keyboard to a solid white color and if one looks into the gap between the spacebar and the keyboard case itself, you can see the scissor switches under the spacebar. It looks like there is one switch in the middle, and one on each side of the spacebar. I did not pry on the spacebar at all for this task. Instead, I loaded the brush with A very small amount of lubricant and applied it to the side of each switch. For each switch I added a small amount of lube to each side that I could reach through the gap. between the spacebar and the keyboard case. For me a key was to use very little lube since there is no way for me to disassemble the keyboard later. I wiped any excess product away using a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. At first, I didn't notice any difference. The squeak remained. After about an hour of use, however, the squeak has resolved. I am not sure if this will be a lasting solution, but it is working for the time being. Corsair did contact me yesterday regarding the ticket I submitted, but since I had resolved the issue on my own, I just informed them of how I resolved the squeak. Hopefully this ticket will reach the development team for this product so they can evaluate future models. Otherwise this will just be information for the group to take into consideration. Thanks all. CC: @Corsair Notepad @valiser
  6. I wanted to chime in that version 4.30.262 also broke "type lighting" for me. I could get some devices to work temporarily when I clicked the layers on and off via the software, but nothing lasted. I rolled the software back down to iCue version 4.28.177 and all profiles are working normally, including new ones I create. Hope they fix it in a future release.
  7. Hi @valiser, thanks for the response here. Yeah, the squeak has progressed and gotten MUCH louder. It's distracting enough now that I am going to need a real solution here. As such, I've opened a support ticket with Corsair. You should consider the same since yours is also pretty squeaky. I'll let everyone know how it goes. Thanks again. CC: @Corsair Notepad
  8. Hello All, As the title suggests, I have a K100 Air Wireless that is 2 weeks old at this point. The spacebar has developed a "Squeak" on liftoff. It's pretty significant... Normally I'd lube the stabilizers with a high viscosity lube, but I don't dare take this one apart. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, did you do anything about it? I can live with it, of course, but it is definitely distracting enough for me to post about it.. so here we are. Thank you in advance!
  9. I took a look at your photo. That's really interesting. This is *inside* the reservoir? I'm running a pair of XD5's in my build and took a quick look at mine very closely. I don't seem to have any plastic inside of my reservoir. There is a video that bit-tech did where they tear down that XD5. [ame] [/ame] If it's brand new, I wouldn't touch it myself. You may want to initiate a return with Corsair in my opinion. :[pouts:
  10. Hello Corsair Friends, I looked for a way to send this to you directly but I do not see anywhere on your contacts page that allows for a direct e-mail for feedback. As such I'll post my feedback here. I am a heavy Corsair user. I run the 1000D case with full Hydro X setup. I also sport various corsair keyboards and mice over the years, as well as a few headsets for the household. I am a bit of a fan (to say the least) and heavily invested in the Corsair ecosystem. I just received a complete Corsair LT100 starter kit and two expansion towers from Amazon. The packages arrived in good shape with no noticeable damage on the boxes or products themselves. Unfortunately this is the only positive note from this experience. Here are the details: 1. The Corsair LT100 Starter kit was defective out of the box. Only the primary light tower was detected by my PC and the second tower was completely unresponsive. 2. The first expansion kit I opened up did not have the correct "Y-Splitter" RGB cable, only a single RGB link cable. This rendered the expansion kit useless. 3. The second expansion kit DID come with the correct "Y-Splitter" RGB cable, but I found this cable to be faulty. The behavior description: The second expansion tower did not respond correctly when connected to the Y-splitter RGB cable. When I manipulated the cable in my hands, the tower would flash erratically, suggesting a faulty connection/ground on the RGB cable itself. At the cost of over $250.00, the quality of this kit was very poor. The experience was so disheartening that I have decided to return the entire setup via Amazon for full refund. I hope this feedback serves to help address what is clearly a QA issue for this product line. Thank you for your time and be safe!
  11. Hello All, I discovered the issue. The software maintains a minimum number of dial control entries in iCue. I switch this keyboard between a work laptop and my home PC, and my work laptop has no dial entries for some reason. When I added 8 dial entries to iCue, I was able to start removing the entries with the 9th. Interesting software behavior.
  12. Hello All, I am trying out the new K100 Keyboard. There seems to be a problem in iCue. On the "Dial Control" section of the app, I am able to add actions to the keyboard dial. Unfortunately I seem to be unable to remove the actions I've added. While I suppose I can just add a static number of actions and only activate the ones I need, I'd rather be able to remove and shorten the list as needed. The trashcan and duplicate action icons are grayed out so I seem to be stuck. This is only true for the Dial Control tool in iCue. I can add/remove actions to other devices. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Let me know what you think.
  13. Hi there Corsair team, I really like the new options, especially the improved mute and profile keys. While I don’t care for the aesthetics of the rotating knob for navigation, I am intrigued by the functionality it lends. For me the biggest issue will be switch options. Since a majority of my use will be typing, I tend to gravitate to cherry mx blue or brown switches. I have tried the mx speed silver switches and found that I am too heavy handed to really use them. I hope you will consider offering this unit with more switch options. I’d purchase if I could get it in MX blues. Be safe!
  14. I had a similar issue. 32GB (8x4) of the Vengeance RGB Pro RAM. I'm running the Asus STRIX Z-390. My LED's would lock up within 10 seconds of logon, and iCUE would show a red exclamation mark. Essentially the RAM lighting would go unresponsive. I tried various settings in the BIOS, and enabled full software control in iCUE. Nothing seemed to work. Finally, I found that ASUS has a setting that installs the "ASUS Armoury Crate" services, that allow for certain controls on this motherboard, including RAM lighting. I went ahead and disabled, 'Armoury Crate" installation in the BIOS, and removed the services from Windows. Since I use Corsair for fan and lighting control, I was ok with Armoury Crate being removed. Since removing these services, the RAM lighting has functioned flawlessly. I'd check and see if you have any other background services that control lighting. There may be a software conflict somewhere.
  15. Hello All, I am a long time frequenter of these forums, but have never posted. I have recently acquired the Corsair "Nightsword" wired mouse. The device works well and I'm growing to like the shape. There is one issue I'm having. The device is supposed to detect the weights that are installed, and calculate the weight/balance. Unfortunately, the mouse doesn't seem to properly detect the weights when they are installed. I also note that the iCue software doesn't calculate the weight or update the center of mass diagram. At the end of the day, this in no way impacts my use of the mouse. I am completely fine with manually inputting the weights, or just ignoring it altogether. That said, it is a feature I wouldn't mind having just because it IS a feature of this mouse. Has anyone else had this problem? Attached image shows the weights that register on the software. Note that all 6 weights are installed, but only 4 show up on the application. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you! Edit: I just have realized that the X, Y, and Z values do change as I manually input weight values. So, I suppose that this portion of the app is working!
