  1. Hi Experts, Issue started on a Windows 7 machine when I tried to format the key with Win32 DiskImager, as this was mentioned as TESTED and WORKING, don't recall the exact page. Key is a brick, and would like some help to see if there is a way of recovering it, as this was a bit expensive for me. In linux when clicking on the key a pop-up displays: Unable to access "xxxxxx" Error mounting /dev/sdb1 at /run/media/user/xxxxx: Wrong fs type, /dev/sdb1 has an invalid superblock or missing helper program. When attempting to format: Error formatting volume Error synchronizing after initial wipe: Timed out waiting for object (udisks-error-quark,0) Whether I try to format it: Internal disk for use with Linux systems only (Ext4) or FAT issue is the same. Light blinks on the key for a sec and stops but thats it. From the log messages during key insertion we can see it does recognize it. $ sudo tail /var/log/messages Jul 15 14:16:13 alp kernel: usb 4-1: new SuperSpeed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd Jul 15 14:16:13 alp kernel: usb 4-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1b1c, idProduct=1a0a Jul 15 14:16:13 alp kernel: usb 4-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 Jul 15 14:16:13 alp kernel: usb 4-1: Product: Survivor 3.0 Jul 15 14:16:13 alp kernel: usb 4-1: Manufacturer: Corsair Jul 15 14:16:13 alp kernel: usb 4-1: SerialNumber: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Jul 15 14:16:13 alp kernel: usb-storage 4-1:1.0: USB Mass Storage device detected Jul 15 14:16:13 alp kernel: scsi host7: usb-storage 4-1:1.0 Jul 15 14:16:13 alp mtp-probe: checking bus 4, device 3: "/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb4/4-1" Jul 15 14:16:13 alp mtp-probe: bus: 4, device: 3 was not an MTP device Jul 15 14:16:14 alp kernel: scsi 7:0:0:0: Direct-Access Corsair Survivor 3.0 000A PQ: 0 ANSI: 6 Jul 15 14:16:14 alp kernel: sd 7:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg2 type 0 Jul 15 14:16:14 alp kernel: sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] 121061376 512-byte logical blocks: (61.9 GB/57.7 GiB) Jul 15 14:16:14 alp kernel: sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect is off Jul 15 14:16:14 alp kernel: sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Write cache: disabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA Jul 15 14:16:14 alp kernel: sdb: sdb1 Jul 15 14:16:14 alp kernel: sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk ...3lines Jul 15 14:16:14 alp journal: Unable to mount volume CentOS 7 x86_64: Gio.IOErrorEnum: Error mounting /dev/sdb1 at /run/media/user/xxxxxxxx: Wrong fs type, /dev/sdb1 has an invalid superblock or missing helper program.
