  1. Hope this helps... You need to install the old version of iCue and don't update! Installers: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=138472 The old iCue installers are originally named like: The new iCue installers are named like: Then you can configure your devices as long as they are compatible with the previous iCue: http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166341
  2. Thank you very much, I appreciate your answer :) somewhere you right, but I have read on this forum that they gonna review it, this is the only reason I am here, waiting for my options. I think this has nothing(at least not much) to do with negative impact, but only with product limitations. low cost product - less options high cost product - more options I have all builds, because I have had to find out which ones give the user a choice instead of limitations Whether it was intended or not, I don't care. I buy a product that contains options, this made me buy more of these products. Now that I no longer have these options, it feels like a deception. A company that limits the choices of consumers, to make sure that they remain in control, is how I see it. There are plenty of options for applying this in a safe way.it's a matter of wanting to The only thing that this software excels in comparison to competitors is that you can link a command to the state of a button. From this I draw the conclusion that it no longer matters which input devices I am going to buy, since the majority offers no choices / options in there software, except for my grandparents, this are enough options for them. :clown: Take the DPI, for example, imagine that the DPI is the speed of a car, have you seen a manufacturer that tells you, that you can only drive 600, 800 and 1000 What speed will you set when the limit is 700 ?
  3. Same :). I like you created a tutorial, even when I didn't really use it myself! Before we could just open the configuration files of hardware devices. Inside these files you could change options like "dpiStep". (see example below) This was very useful if you had devices that were limited by default there configuration... DPI had options like this : <maxDpiSlots>5</maxDpiSlots> <minDpi>100</minDpi> <maxDpi>10000</maxDpi> <dpiStep>100</dpiStep> maxDpiSlots : Would set the max amount dpi slots you can use, not really useful, if you didn't want to disable dpi possibilities, the interface wasn't prepared to add more then 5+1(sniper DPI) minDPI: Change the possible minimal dpi setting for your mouse. maxDPI: Change the possible maximal dpi setting for your mouse. dpiStep: With this setting you set you mouse dpi in steps of x. My mouse default dpiStep setting is 200, So I can only set 200,400,600,800,1000,1200,1400 etc. I cant set it to 650 while this is what I need. I can set 600 but this is too slow, or set it too 800 but this is too fast. There is no other way to set the DPI of the mouse, except that you could manipulate it with the windows mouse speed setting, but this is just an DPI multiplier, ending up with a multiplier of a wrong DPI. :) The biggest frustration is that this all was was possible! You could set the dpiStep to 1, Done!!, and an other happy customer is born :clown: Its still possible to have this options by rollback to the old iCue, but keep in mind that : - it wont work for new devices because they weren't support by the old iCue - the old iCue can crash once a while, maybe once a week (without any error messages) when you're online whole day. For me it all started with the idea, buy and use corsair devices, and create new devices out of them after they have reached there end of life, also because the possibilities iCue it had before. Lets hope there software support will be as good in the future as there hardware support is now. CORSAIR: :) I have never seen such a good customer support by any company if it goes about hardware problems/defects and solutions. I like to use input devices and change there settings that's all, is it really so hard ? This software is doing more then what 75% of the people need, while it also lacks in setting the basic settings PLEASE BACK TO BASIC! then you can add your crap later.
  4. An option to bind secured keys and use some custom dpi on your own risk! I would like to see this options back!
  5. I am not selling my stuff, but do not feel satisfied either with the new iCue, specially since options got removed.
  6. how can we do this without wasting useful buttons, it frustrates me so much right now!! still waiting on answers..... I am using corsair software for years, got a couple devices (K95, sabre, scimitar, scimitar pro) and always had a great support if i talk about replace an defect item and response times. My story: The last year i needed to use the old icue for the following reasons: - The new dynamic interface isn't user friendly and need to resize it everyday at startup for my 1280*1024 resolution. - Then UI gives a lag to my games when opened on an other screen. (GTX1080/i7-6gen) - Cant change my device settings with the new iCue - Cant use my old macro's Last week I did buy a new harpoon RGB wireless mice, this did start my problems, and asking myself if i am doing a wise thing with by not returning the product, because I cant use the old cue with this device, only the non-wireless is supported. Conclusion: I am more then just disappointed about the whole new iCue, i would even express this with other words, but better not :), but, I rather have a crashing iCue 2.0 then this crap. Tell me now where does this software excel compared to others, why did you change this... ? It all seems useless for me now. Anybody some solution/hack/idea, to set device settings manually ? I am more disappointed because I plannend to use my old devices by embedding them in later projects, for example a foot switch, created from an old mouse.
  7. Any idea how to change the device settings like we could before, like change the dpi-step and disable protected buttons, I really mis this feature.
  8. How can a custom dpi been set in the new iCue ?
  9. Is there anyone with a solution to change the harpoon wireless device config files ? The last year I stayed on the old icue software to avoid this problem. For me it seems that the settings are now placed in manifestres.bin, but have no idea how to edit this file.
  10. Thank you very much :) But yes, I dont want to map a useless left mouse button, just did bought a new mouse, my old iCue software doesnt support this mouse while its listed, the harpoon mouse, I did choose this one above others, also because of the software!. My problem, left down needs to be up, and up need to be down. I cant do it anymore, I dont have 99 buttons on this mouse to remap something i don't use. Please dont remove features :) Why dont make a simple developer option to enable disable protection on this keys.
