  1. Just wanted to re-up this thread. Anyone seen this before or have any tips?
  2. More details: In Aura, the VGA and DRAM are linked (white link symbol). I'm using the latest version of iCue (3.27.68). When I go to "enable full software control" in Settings in iCue, I see "ASUS Motherboard has no settings. Plug-in v. 1.0.5.0"
  3. Hello, I'm trying to sync all of the RGB in my PC (here's my build). My Asus Crosshair VIII board displays in iCue, but it doesn't take any effects that I apply to it. It *does* take affects via Aura. I have the plugin installed. I have restarted my computer. I followed this guide, and the one thing I was not able to find is "Enable full software control" in settings. Is that still something you need to do, if so, where is it? Thanks, everyone
  4. Fwiw, the solution was that I didn't plug in one of the power connectors on my mobo!
  5. Hi, Zotty, it's an Asus Crosshair VIII hero and an AMD 3950X. Here's my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yNzfDx I've reseated the graphics card, but that didn't do the trick. (The cables and monitors definitely work, because they work with the computer I'm currently working.) Some on r/buildapc suggested that I may need to do a BIOS update...
  6. I ask because I turned my PC on, but the monitor isn't recognizing display port or HDMI and someone on r/buildapc mentioned that it could be because I didn't add motherboard spacers.
  7. Ha ohhhhh mannnn, yep, that was it! All of these simple mistakes for my first build, I doubt it'll be the last!
  8. Hello, I'm struggling to install my Asus RTX 2080 Ti graphics card into a Crosshair VIII motherboard. I try to press it down into the slot, but it won't go down all the way. Are the little lips on the metal piece that slides down the side of the case supposed to go inside or outside the holes? Here are some photos for reference: https://imgur.com/a/hvQnveh Thanks in advance for any insights y'all might have
  9. Also, re: the 3-pin tach cable (the one sharing a cable with the SATA connector), my fan and pump connectors are all four pin w/ a GND pin -- do I still use that and just don't plug into the GND?
  10. Wait, I'll have two cables coming from my AIO that aren't connected to anything, right? The Fan RGB cable and the cable with the shrouded 4-pin connectors? So, I just need to connect the SATA and the pump tach (3-pin cable)? The SATA goes to the motherboard, right? (I'm still not sure what should be plugged into the motherboard and what should be plugged into the PSU...) The H115i manual says the 3-pin should go to the CPU_FAN header but my motherboard (Crosshair VIII Hero) has an AIO_PUMP header, too -- should I use that instead? (Can you tell this is my first build?)
  11. I have connected the two ML140 fans to the the RGB hub and the Commander Pro (I have 4 other ML120 fans also going to the RGB hub and the Commander Pro). That means I don't have to use the RGB connectors on the pump, right? If so, what do y'all do with those extraneous superfluous cables? Tuck them away somewhere?
  12. Thanks, c-attack! Yeah, I found out the hard way that the H150i doesn't have RGB fans -- just the pump head is RGB. Womp womp. And thank you for your explanation re: the LED counts! I knew they wouldn't sync right, but I didn't know why. So, what I've chosen to do is return the H150i and go full ML: I bought a H115i RGB Platinum (two 140mm ML fans) and 4 120mm ML fans -- 3 in the front and 1 for exhaust.
  13. Hi, I've been reading a lot of posts but just want to make sure I'm not wasting my money. I have the RGB versions of the Obsidian 500D SE case and the H150i Pro CPU cooler. The case comes pre-installed with 3 LL120 RGB fans. The cooler has 3 ML120 RGB fans. According Zotty's RGB Hardware and iCue FAQ published in January 2018, "You can NOT mix fan types on the Corsair RGB Fan LED Hub." I've gathered from other threads that one reason is because their RGB won't sync properly. So, since I want my fans to sync, I'm going to buy three more ML120 RGB fans -- two on the top and one on the back. Is that right? Or will the LLs sync with the MLs? My plan is to remove the pre-installed LL120s, install the cooler in the front and then install 2 ML120s on the top and 1 ML120 on the back.
