  1. You would mainly be looking at 2 sticks of 3600 MHz CL16 or lower that is on the motherboard QVL sheet I'm using CMK32GX4M2K3600C16 ver 4.31 which is a really good kit of Samsung B-Die
  2. And that is for EACH response. I went 8 days without a response to an 'Urgent' ticket that was already escalated to a supervisor. Each day I asked for a status update and never got one. When they did send a response, they never actually addressed the questions that I had asked. This is just the start of your headaches with Corsair... If you have the option to return it I suggest you do that (if not just for your own sanity)
  3. I bought an a100 last year and tried to buy an a200 this year. Orders take 3-5 business days just to process before it can be officially processed. You are just left in limbo with no feedback for a while. For the a200 I tried to order, they rejected my payment method (PayPal) without a clear indication as to why. They didn't give me a chance to provide another payment method, they just canceled the order. I placed another order using my credit card and the same thing happened. I called my credit card company and they said that they had approved the transaction. I read the billing address straight off the order, and they confirmed it was what they had on file for my credit card. On the third attempt the order went through, and the only thing I changed was capitalizing the billing address. At the same time as this was happening I was also trying to pay for a temporary a100 so that I could RMA mine. The same thing happened with this order, twice. The credit card company said they were not rejecting the transactions. aI tried to call Corsair in order to get this straightened out. Phone support could do absolutely nothing, they had to open a support ticket with the Web store. There was no one that I could speak to at the web store, email only and responses took 1-2 days. Corsair stuck to their guns and insisted that it was the credit card company. I ended up having to RMA my computer w/o a previously shipped replacement. I ended up canceling the a200 order, as after all of this and my other issues I want nothing to do with Corsair anymore. I would suggest that you do the same, the only thing these machines have going for them is the small form factor. You don't get an acceptable level of customer support or software support for the insane markup (easily $1000+) that we pay for these machines.
  4. That is correct. I'll also throw in that Corsair's 'Award Winning support' was a participation award. It was a horrendous experience every time I needed to open a ticket.
  5. Small form factor PCs will ALWAYS run hotter than the same parts in a mid or full sized case. You are cramming hot parts closer together with muich less airflow. That being said... IF iCUE is ramping up the fan to full speed, and that is a BIG if, then your system will be fine. The CPU and GPU will down-clock according to run at the heat load AMD / NVIDIA intends them to run at.
  6. There is a cooling log stored somewhere in Program Files or Program Files (x86). IIRC there is also a place in the app where you can download them.
  7. You'd think that, but you'd be wrong... This is Corsair. I've owned an a100 for over a year. You don't even get acceptable support for that price tag.The machine's performance is much worse as compared to the same parts in a traditional case. They put a DisplayPort 1.2 extension between the inside and outside of the case, for a DisplayPort 1.4a card. There are MULTIPLE bugs in the iCUE that cause the fan to stop cooling your system. Corsair uses custom BIOS, and won't provided updates even if the board manufacturer has them available. I would return the system while you still can, this is just the start of your headaches with Corsair. The form factor is the ONLY thing this machine has going for it, and it really isn't worth it. See the cliff notes version of my experience over the past year in this Post I had to run the fan on my a100 at 100% all the time because of a bug in iCUE. I personally didn't find it that loud, but I guess that is subjective. You can try setting a fixed fan %, but if the coolant on either side hits 60c (and it will) the system will start flashing red and ramp the fans up. There isn't much that you can do about the heat, you got a 250W GPU + 120W of CPU cranking away. That generates heat, no two ways about it. 8. I started seeing that about 2 weeks after I bought my a100, followed by iCUE turning off my fan completely. This happened in both iCUE3 and iCUE4, iCUE is riddled with bugs can't be trusted to keep any machine cool. I had opened a support ticket immediately, and the person on the other end either couldn't / didn't want to understand / fix the issue. He instead suggested that it was because it was summer time and that it was fine for the CPU to be running at 90c at idle as long as it wasn't blue screening. When I finally got him to understand that it was a bug an iCUE, he said he'd let the iCUE team know about it... and then marked the ticket as solved even though my fan still wasn't spinning. A year later they released iCUE4 with the exact same bug, and a few more gems (see this Thread) What I ended up doing for the year I owned that machine was to move the fan to the motherboard header instead of the CPU cooler. If you do this, you will need to run the fan at 100% as it can no longer ramp up based on a low CPU / High GPU load.
  9. Check the cooling logs (can download them from the app) and make sure that it isn't turning off the fan. I've had both iCUE3 and iCUE4 do this to me on my a100. For me, the fan coming on at full speed is actually the hardware protection bypassing the iCUE profile because it detected and overheat situation. If you are setting a fixed % fan speed, know that it is bugged in iCUE4... see this Thread. This will only be the start of your headaches with Corsair. You will more than likely not get your question answered either here or in an official ticket. If you open an official ticket you will wait days between replies and will quickly realize that the person on the other end either can't or doesn't want to understand / fix the issue. I would highly suggest that you return that system while you still can. The machine's performance is much worse as compared to the same parts in a traditional case. There are MULTIPLE bugs in the iCUE that cause the fan to stop cooling your system. Corsair uses custom BIOS, and won't provided updates even if the board manufacturer has them available. Their 'Award winning support' was a participation award, so what are you ACTUALLY paying a premium for? Go to another company like REDUX and stay far away from this hot mess. The form factor is the ONLY thing these machines have going for it. I've owned an a100 for a year and had nothing but issues with it and Corsair. 10. I'm in the same boat... love the form factor of the machine. I've literally put it in a backpack and taken it to a friend's house. I'll keep saying this till I'm blue in the face (or they ban me from the forums)... Corsair's 'Award winning support' is a participation award. Stay Away.
  11. Corsair already has insane markups on these machines... Look at the a200 Pro, $4400 for a 5950x / 3080 sitting on a b550 board using CL18 RAM and outdated display cable extensions that will limit your monitor options... The markups are going to be insane if they ever release that machine. The machine's performance is much worse as compared to the same parts in a traditional case. 13. This was my experience as well. I opened a ticket within 2 weeks of owning the system, and it would be days between replies. The support tech didn't understand that I was reporting that a software bug was turning off my fans and causing an overheat situation. He instead kept trying to blame it on the weather. When I finally got him to understand, he filed a bug report with the iCUE team and closed the issue as 'Solved' even though the issue was never actually solved. I wish you luck with the RMA... when they wanted to do an ARMA for my BIOS issue it failed. They wanted to put a hold on my credit card. The first attempt failed and they said the credit card denied it. I called my credit card company (Chase), and they said they didn't deny it. I verified the billing address from the order with Chase and they said it was correct. I informed them that I would be re-attempting the purchase. They put in a second ARMA, and again they said the card was denied. I called Chase and again they said that they had approved the transaction and Corsair just didn't take the funds. I went back to Corsair with this information and they stuck to their guns saying it was the credit card company that denied it. They offered me two options... normal RMA or try the ARMA a third and final time. If it was denied again then they wouldn't RMA my system at all, even though it was under warranty. I need a computer because I work from home full time, and I had told them this, which is why I tried to do the ARMA. I ended up having to build an entirely new system so that I could get the system RMA'd. Luckily I had spare parts and my brother had an old NVIDIA 1050. When they got the system they ended up replacing the cooler and the SSD. The cooler may or may not have needed replacement as the errors may have been caused by the AMD x570 bug I was trying to get a BIOS update for. Despite me explicitly asking several times if they updated the BIOS, they never answered my question. I will never know if they actually tested the cooler with updated BIOS, as the machine they sent back to me was not the machine they sent back to me. They sent back a dirty, scuffed, and scratched refurbished system. I booted the system in to the BIOS, and this refurbished unit did not have the latest BIOS. I immediately shut the system down, but it back in the box and listed it for sale on eBay never having booted it. Corsair's Award winning support is a participation award. Do not buy a system from them. If you bought a system from them and it is still in the return window... return it. Their machines are overpriced and under-supported. Stay Far Far away from this company.
  14. Nope they do not let you add fan profiles or specify a curve with the CorsairONE. I was told this is for 'Warranty' purposes. Only Corsair themselves are allowed to turn off the fan completely and destroy the hardware.
