  1. Thanks for all the replies. I agree and am going to use a new power supply in my new build. I'll keep the HX850 for troubleshooting.
  2. I have a Corsair HX850 (circa 2012) that I pulled from an LGA 1155 build. I presently am building a new system around an Asrock Z390 Gaming MB with i9 9900k , 2080ti, etc. Two questions here: 1) Will the connectors still be compatible with the motherboard, specifically the 24 pin connector and 2) since the PSU is 8 years old and has been run 18 hours a day, 7 days a week should I risk using it in a new build or buy a new one such as the RM750X? AFAIK, the HX850 has always run perfect with no noise or issues of any kind.
