  1. i know the linux driver can't do macros but i was thinking that maybe i can set the key to run a script that execute the macro but i'm really new to linux and i'm kind of lost in the macro department if anyone can point me in the right direction i'll be really thankful
  2. thanks to the people who made linux compatibility posible my k70 rgb and scimitar have basic functions and work all the time, i get some errors about usb hid endpoints at startup and shutdown which i think are related to the corsair products, but as soon as i get to the gnome desktop everything works. the only thing that stop me from switching to linux all the time and ditch windows are the corsair products, i have a scimitar and a k70 rgb and i have a lot of profiles with probably 10 to 40 macros in each profile and sadly the linux driver cant do complicated macros
  3. i have tried the hard reset in all of them without luck, any more suggestions? i still have 1 that presented this problem like 3 days ago and haven't returned it yet, all of them have the same problem like 2 months after purchase 1st edit: can i ask if you have a specific step by step i have followed all the steps and looks like the firmware was well updated, or maybe a different firmaware file to the one support sent me. 2nd edit: i just rescued my k70 a few minutes ago, the problem, at least for my unit, is dirt inside the keyboard, i assume it gets inside by the gaps in the spacebar and other exposed holes and cause an electrical problem, y removed the spacebar and blowed inside the gap between the plate and the circuit board and the problem went away, now all colors look like as they should
  4. for me its strike 3 for corsair, 3 keyboards all with thisproblem, 2 k70 rgb and 1 strafe rgb too bad couse i really like the products but its just stupid who they can get the lights right without any problems
  5. i really like the idea, double shot keycaps should last forever, the 2 things to consider are, 1 using the correct material to let the light pass, some materials will degrade the quality of the color or change it a bit in an rgb keyboard since the light is not as strong as in a single color keyboard, and 2 using the correct font as not all the fonts can be done in double shot, the placement of little inserts for the letters like B, O, P, etc from a munufacture point of view will be imposible, a nightmare, or it will need to happen in 3 stages, 1 the outside of the key, 2 the letter itself, 3 the insert for the loops, and doing 3 stages with that much presicion is really really difficult
  6. just opened my new strafe, white color is awful, worse than in a k70 rgb i think, blue and green everywhere, it doesn´t even look "kind" of white, it looks like what most call "water" color, like a light mix of blue and green (i know water has no color), tried to update the firmware but there is no firmware update as of now
