  1. Hi Guys, Can someone please explain what is going on here? I have 2 identical PCs (2 teenagers at home :-)) -Running 3.38.61 iCUE. (Planning on trying iCUE 4.x.x in the future). - MSI Tomahawk x570 mobo - latest 172 bios with AMD ComboAM4PIV2 1.2.0.3b( RGB mobo lights disabled in BIOS) - h100i AIO with 2 LL120 fans - 32gb 4x8GB Dominator Platinum RGB RAM - 3 x LL120 case fans which came with fan hub / lightning node pro. (PWM speed controlled in BIOS) - 3080 Asus TUF GPU Win 10 with latest updates, AMD drivers, GPU drivers etc. I'm attaching both pictures. I don't get why extreme profile run fans at different speeds on 2 identical systems. Please see the attached pictures. Any ideas?
  2. Thank you very much :-) I will do that.
  3. Hi Guys, My 2 teenagers have been running older 3.x iCUE on my kids PC (built them in Jan). Builds: - MSI Tomahawk x570 mobo (since msi mystic is not supported it will be turned off in BIOS) - AMD 5900x CPU - Asus Tuf 3080 - h100i Platinum SE AIO with 2 LL120 fans - 32gb 4x8GB Dominator Platinum RGB RAM - 3 x LL120 case fans which came with fan hub / lightning node pro. Controlled them from mobo's fan Pmw connectors via BIOS (to avoid MSI's bloatware installation) I'm planning on updating their rigs, with latest BIOS, drivers...etc.... Should I touch working 3.x iCUE or is it safe to move to 4.x? Thanks in advance :P
  4. Thanks for info. It is for h100i Platinum SE AIO. My 5900x should come in in 3 weeks best case scenario, but it look more like in 5 weeks. Hence I hope by then iCUE will have a zen3 support.
  5. Thanks AGAIN for your help ;): I'm still waiting for 5900x CPUs to arrive, however I'm keeping eye on these forums to be ready and up to date  Does anyone know if there will be an actual support for zen3 in the upcoming iCUE update? I wonder if I should use iCUE just to control RGB (LL120's, pump and RAM) and mobo's BIOS (tomahawk x570) to control fans based on CPU temp (not coolant temp)? For 3080 GPU control (including fan speed and montioring) I'm planning to use MSI Afterburner including CPU temp monitoring.
  6. Hi, I'm putting 2 builds for kids and I wondering if there is a trick on how tighten the screw thumbs to make sure there is a good contact without breaking anything. I've read some horror stories of peeps breaking motherboard's plastic clips because they've used too much force. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. ;):
  7. Just to confirm you need asus mobo in order to have your asus gpu recognized right? This would not work on my msi mobo?
  8. There is probably only 3 lucky 3080 strix owners so far, so your chances to get answer are pretty slim. ;):
  9. i'm not a iCUE user yet, waiting for zen3 two CPUs to complete two builds. Could it be some other software trying to take over your RGB? perhpas Gigabyte software? Maybe try to kill/uninstall/stop running any non-iCUE RGB apps/services you may have...
  10. Thanks so much... Yes this is exactly the same case and fans configuration I'll be using (5 x LL120s + 3 Lian Li RGB fans for front). Except I will have Dominator RAM. I wish though that I had that 3080 FE GPU :p: Yes, I'm sticking with 5 LL120s to simplify controls and some $$$. Also who knows due to pandemic the QL120 will be in stock. I just hope and pray I won't have issues some other users are having. As you pointed out I might run into issue with x570 chipset and I will have to buy internal usb hub. Also I hope iCUE won't interfere with MSI Dragon Center if I install it to control my case fans speeds.:sigh!:
  11. Stupid question, but would it be possible to control AIO Pump and both fans speed using MSI Mystic software? and use iCUE only for RGB effects?
  12. Thanks again for your valuable feedback. The QL120 x 3 pack white is out of stock at the moment. The 3 intake fronts are Li Lan's RGB fans and they would be running of its built-in case RGB controller at the front of the case. Therefore the 3 front 1-2-3 intakes are running outside of iCUE. Adding 2 QL120 to the bottom of the case to help to cool off GPU would help aesthetics a bit. i could turn off the bottom RGB ring and I would get more uniform light. However this would introduce like you said another RGB channel. So my options are: Original: - 1-2-3 fronts Lian Li RGB fans running on its builtin RGB (front case button controlled) - 1-2-3-4-5 AIO (2 LLs) + 1 LL rear + 2 LLs bottoms on single LNP LL/QL mix: - 1-2-3 fronts Lian Li RGB fans running on its builtin RGB (front case button controlled) - 1-2 AIO controlled 2 LLs - 1-2-3 - 1 QL rear + 2 QLs bottoms on a LNC Do you think LL/QL mix would look nicer and it is worth hassle to return / wait and order QL fans? Like you said it will be harder to synchronize them. The best would be to buy replace all fans (including Lian's Li 3 front intakes) with 8 QL fans. However this is a little too $$$. What do you think?
  13. Wow... Thank you very much for an excellent detailed reply. I think I have everything I need to get me going. I will report back. I will stick with LL120s to simplify my life. BTW... this is how LL120s and AIO will look like in my case. Someone has already build with almost identical components. I wish the bottom fans were QLs as I would turn off LEDs shining on PSU. However the bottom front RGB intake fan would still lit up the PSU.
