I sent mine back a just got the evga hybrid cooler for $75. Maybe ver. 2.0 will have more extensive quality control before release.

Maybe only one Link product at a time will work?

How are the vram temps of the revised N980?

I thought I read that back plates are not supposed to be used with the HG10.

I am having my doubts now as well. Not even a post to give us a estimate of when the fixed coolers will be ready to go on sale.

They are taking their sweet time because this product does not have a much competition.

What new fan did you use to replace the stock fan with? I'm going to use a Gentle Typhoon AP-29. Put it on a fan controller. Even at 2000 rpm, that AP-29 is quiet.

You may want to get the Gentle Typhoon that spins at 1850 rpm the AP-15 for lower temps.

At this point it may be worth is to shell out $100 for the the EVGA hybrid cooler.

Let's just hope AMD has a response to keep the competition going on.

I don't think the backplate is compatible with the hg10.
