  1. My topic/issue has a few concerns and I didn't know where to exactly put it but it's mainly a case issue. I have run into a fitment issue with the GPU I wish to acquire, like most people (i assume of course) the 30-series card I would like is too big for my current case. I have a 220T airflow with a front mount AIO because of ram clearances. I have 2 possible solutions but would like outside opinions both positive and negative and lets assume money is not a major concern. Do I: 1) Get a bigger case, naturally I would like to keep it a corsair case. I'm looking at the 4000 series, Do I get the cheaper 4000D and move the lightning node core and wiring over from the 220T over or shell out a little more for the 4000X for peace of mind? 2) Just get a smaller 30-series GPU and paint the shroud and fans the color I want? Never done anything like that before, so would be asking for help from friends. Thanks for whatever suggestions come my way.
  2. I dont think you can mix fans even on the commander pro, but im not a corsair employee. I ended up swapping out my 3 SP pro fans for LL fans.
  3. I dont know if this will be super helpful but I know that cooler master and cablemod sell vertical GPU mounting kits. I don't know how well they will work with this case and a 3080. I too am hoping to vertical mount my 3070 in my 220T case but the cablemod kit pushes the GPU forward just a bit. My AIO is also mounted in the front due to RAM clearance up top, so I will probably just have to horizontally mount it.
  4. So after looking at builds where the AIO was top mounted, the deciding factors have been different RAM installed and the MBs used had their ram slots slightly lower. So I'm gonna just leave it how it is, it still looks amazing either way to me. Thanks for the input i did receive!
  5. Okay that's definitely not so hopeful news, I will have to get my coworker to help me with this in the coming days.
  6. This is really directed at Corsair employees, but if anyone has built/helped build a 220T and managed this then your input is also appreciated. I have seen a few builds where the AIO does fit on top with the Corsair vengeance rgb RAM, my question is this? What MBs can support this? I currently have an ASUS z490 plus and also had my computer built for me (yeah i know) BUT I want to move it to the top of the case with help from a co-worker. It just a preference thing for lighting not a performance thing, I'd just like to know if we should even attempt to relocate it with my current MB. I recently found an interesting comment that sparked this post: "Why would corsair make a case with support for a 240mm top rad, and make it so you couldn't even use their OWN ram sticks.." haha Thank you!
  7. So I saw the lighting link drop down menu before and was wondering what it was for! Alright I'll try this out when I get a chance, I appreciate the assistance. I just realized I made an error in my equipment listed but that doesn't matter, thanks!
  8. Hey all, First post for me, I searched for a bit but couldn't find a clear enough answer to my issue. I think the answer is buy a commander/lighting node pro but I want to be sure before I drop more money into my build. I have 220T RGB airflow case, with a H100i platinum se AIO, Vengeance RGB ram, 3 QL pro fans and ASUS TUF Gaming Z490 plus wifi MB. I just found out how to sync my MB to iCue with the AuraSync software, so my question is this... How do I get everything to sync so they are doing the same colors at the same time? Currently when I switch to a profile all my RGBs are out of sync and it looks like unicorn vomit. I have a feeling I need to get a lighting node pro, commander pro sounds like overkill, but once again just want to be sure. Any help is appreciated, criticism i'm sure may happen as well. I will eventually be switching my fans to LLs to match the AIO to make the sync a little easier and make everything white (except the MB).
