  1. It should work, but running 128GB at 3200 might be pushing it. I could be wrong though. I can't think of anyone that has tried to run 128GB on the Master off the top of my head. Most people going for that much ram move up to Threadripper. My ram is also not on the qvl for the master, but I run 4x8 without issue. Your mileage may vary. Ryzen 3000 is much less particular about the ram that is used than previous gen was.
  2. The hynix cjr will probably clock better than the micron. I have some micron b die from another manufacturer and it really hits its limit right around 3000 with realistic voltage. I have 2 corsair Vengeance RGB 3000 kits and both of them easily hit 3600 at 16-18-18-18. CJR will not do tight timings like samsung bdie, but most of the cl16 3600 kits you see on the market these days have hynix cjr. That said mixed ram can sometimes not be an issue at all, but quite often it can lead to instability. When buying ram you need to try and make sure you get not only the same model number, but the same revision to ensure that it matches. If you can't ensure that your revision numbers will match then you should buy a kit that comes with 4 sticks. Retailers will not guarantee that separate kits are the same revision.
  3. So if you are like me and you have a Gigabyte motherboard, but you have Corsair ram and would prefer to have iCUE control your rams RGB rather than Fusions limited profiles then here is how to stop Fusion from ever trying to control your ram again, or atleast until you update it the next time or they change their software:D: This method will work for stopping Fusion from taking control of any ram in your system, and once your are finished Fusion will not even be able to see your ram. Go to file explorer and go to the install location for RGB Fusion. By default that location is in C:\Program Files (x86)\GIGABYTE\RGBFusion Once you are in the RGB Fusion folder you will need to locate 2 files. spddump.exe SPD_Dump.XML Take those 2 files and either move them into a different folder so you can easily move them back later if you need them, or just delete the files if you like to throw caution to the wind. If you delete them then you will need to reinstall Fusion to get them back if for some reason it breaks something. After you move those 2 files restart your computer and when you look in Fusion the next time you should not see any ram showing up. Now you can freely control your Corsair Ram with iCUE.
  4. On the back of the sticks you will see a sticker. On that sticker there is a version number. Different version numbers have different chips. Online retailers generally don't look at this before sending you the ram. You can see the ver. 4.34 in the picture below highlighted in yellow. Sorry for the crappy quality, I just pulled a picture off the web for reference. Mixed ram can cause issues. On intel systems they are more forgiving if you put mixed ram in different channels, but I have tried it on my Aorus x570 Master and it didn't work out well. I went to my local best buy and dug through their stock and found more sticks that were the same version and model as the better kit I had at home and had no trouble after that.
  5. I don't have a permanent fix for you, but in the meantime you could try putting it in and out of bios mode rather than unplugging it. I don't think the strafe keyboards had the switch next to the cable to swap, but I know you can hold down F1 and the windows lock key for about 3 seconds to put the keyboard into bios mode. This might trigger windows to see your keyboard the same as if you had unplugged it. I know on my k95 rgb it sees a disconnect and reconnect in windows if I flip the switch. Once in bios mode there is a light that flashes, but I don't have a strafe and don't remember which one. To turn off bios mode hold down the keys again for around 3 seconds and it should go back to normal.
  6. The settings for the RGB are not persistent so they do not load until in the operating system and icue loads. Rainbow wave is the default so it will do that until icue loads. As for the ram staying on, go into the bios and look for a setting labeled something like LEDs in Sleep, Hibernation, and Soft Off States and set that to off and see if that fixes the problem. I am not at my desktop right now so i can't check to see what location it is in the bios, but you will need to be in advanced mode to see it.
  7. Fusion will not interfere with anything from icue. it will try and take over controlling your corsair ram's rgb, but based on the part number in your specs I think you have team group. I have been using both for a while now and the last time they interfered with each other was early in fusion 1.0. I however am not a fan of anything related to appcenter.. uninstall it, learn to flash the bios using qflash and setup fan curves in the bios. Appcenter has gotten better over the years, but it still causes issues.
  8. I imagine that getting a straight answer to the warranty question will be hard. Laws vary from region to region, and even here in the US while gamers nexus preaches that you can tear your stuff apart without voiding a warranty, it only gives the manufacturer cause to suspect you may have damaged it. I feel strongly that a user should be able to re-paste their own cards as part of maintenance but as far as i know the only company that openly allows users to re-paste is evga.
  9. Just wanted to report that I uninstalled icue and installed an older version that I had previously downloaded and was able to pair the devices and get the firmware updated on both. Everything is working as expected. I moved them back over to my htpc where this started with the latest version of icue and it still works.
  10. Recently got a corsair k83 for Christmas, but just had a chance to open it up and hook it up to my htpc today. When I took it out of the box and hooked it up to the pc it worked perfectly. I used it for maybe 20 minutes over wireless with the included dongle while downloading icue and browsing. icue finished and I installed it (3.24.52) and the keyboard instantly stopped working as soon as icue installed. I did not initiate any firmware updates or change anything, and assumed I just needed to restart the computer. After a restart still nothing. Hooked up another keyboard and I went into icue where it showed the wireless dongle with a warning triangle and status was not connected. I tried to initiate the pairing process and pressed fn and f5 until the light started blinking but it just went on for about 5 minutes and says pairing failed. At that point I pulled out the included usb cable and connected the keyboard which showed up in icue and it started working and also gave me a message that a firmware update was available. I tried to start the firmware update, but it says that I need to put the keyboard in 2.4ghz mode before I plug up the cable, which I can't do since it wont pair. It showed updating in the bottom corner of the app, but never progressed beyond 0% and the instructions to put it in wireless mode and connect the cable never went away. I stopped it after about 25 minutes. At this point I have tried it on 3 different PC's and a mac and all of them do the exact same thing. I have tried usb 2.0 ports, usb 3.0 ports, usb 3.1, usb c with an adapter. All give no 2.4ghz connection, and cant attempt to update the firmware since I cant pair them over wireless. I tried booting into safe mode in windows and that didn't change anything. Only strange thing I have noticed is that the keyboard firmware is on 3.24 and the fob firmware is on 3.13. also for some reason everytime I unplug the the fob or the keyboard icue adds a (1) to the name in device settings even if I plug it back into the same usb port. At this point the only thing I can think of is to do a forced firmware image update on them and see if it can fix it, but I don't have the files to try. really hoping to get this fixed since my inlaws bought it for me and I think they bought it before amazon extended the holiday return period so I would probably have to RMA this to get it fixed otherwise. Was really excited to get this thing going and get rid of the horrible logitech k400r I use with my htpc that is possibly the worst keyboard on earth and for some reason I own 2 of them.
  11. This has happened to me in the past. the easiest fix I have found for it in windows 10 is to go to settings, click on devices, scroll down until you see the mm800 click on it and remove the device. reboot and it should work after that.
  12. One thing I have found on recent corsair ram is that raising the tRC up a little bit seems to help with stability on ryzen. bumping it up to 54 or 56 seems to get rid of blue screens. I haven't personally dealt with too many people with Dominator kits, but on the lpx kits its had an almost 100% success rate in getting the kits stable on 3200.
  13. I have the Void wireless (not pro) and have been using them for almost 3 years now. I had this problem in the past but it hasn't happened in probably a year. When I am actively using the headphones it will go into automatic shutoff. I can go into cue and disable automatic shutoff and if fixes the issue so its not an end of the world situation. Just thought it was odd that they randomly started doing this again yesterday despite the fact I haven't changed anything in a few weeks. software is version 3.23.66, firmware is 39.02. battery was at 90% when it started yesterday. I was about 1 hour into a movie and the voice prompt came up warning me that it was going to shutoff. Also noticed that normally if I have the headphones charging they never shutoff, but even with them plugged in and charging it still does the automatic shutoff.
  14. My bad, I totally missed the acrylic part. ya, mine is petg. ignore everything I said except the part about the insert and buying extra tube. I have kids and animals so acrylic seemed like a bad idea. I tried playing with one acrylic tube and kept getting bubbles from over heating and it got really brittle.
  15. for mine I did most of it by hand using the edge of a table to make sure that my bends were 90 degrees and flat. Some of my pieces required multiple bends in different directions. For that I used a silicon insert and soapy water to ensure that the bends didn't try and collapse. Also if you leave the insert in and put it up next to your system to see if it is close you can reheat the pipe and add or remove a small amount of bend without the bend collapsing. I used a copper pipe cutter and a reamer that I already had from working with copper water lines in my parents house. the cutter I used was one of these. I think jayz2cents uses a similar one. https://www.lowes.com/pd/IRWIN-0-625-in-Multipurpose-Pipe-Cutter/1000667999 expect to buy more tube than you need. I used a piece about 1 foot long at first just to play with the heat gun and get a feel for how it bent, how close I needed to be to the heat gun, and what heat setting I needed on the heat gun. even then I messed up some pieces by not getting the bends right and had to order another kit of tubing. I didn't help myself by having pieces that needed 3 bends at weird angles.
