  1. Hey gang, I'm going to be case swapping and upgrading in the near future, and I wanted to run my ideas by those that would have a better idea to make sure I'm on the right path. My build currently resides in a 500D RGB SE, so I figure the 7000X would give me plenty of added room for airflow to improve my temperatures and give me more room to manage the Strimers (I like my primary system to be obscenely RGB). I figure the X is better over the D for the added Commander, despite me replacing all the fans in the D. Here's my list so far, starting with parts that will be new; 7000X, of course Asus Crosshair VIII Formula X570 Ryzen 9 5900X (Upgrading from a 9900K and Z390) H170i Elite Capellix AIO Likely 64GB Dom Plats 9xLL120s, 4 in the front to replace SP140s as intakes, 4 in the case (intakes?), and 1 at the rear as exhaust. I like the look of the LLs, and I believe they are comparable or better than the SPs? I'm not planning on stripping the LLs out of the 500D simply because they've worked faithfully for about 3 years and I figure they could use a break I do plan on swapping the front tempered glass with the 7000D mesh front, assuming that's possible, which is one of my questions Parts moving over from my current build; Asus Strix RTX3090 AX1200i My m.2 as well as 2 SATA SSDs and 1 HDD My main concerns are if I'm able to swap the front panel of the 7000X for the mesh front of the 7000D for better airflow, and what I'll need for all the fans as far as controllers. Will I need an additional Commander for the fans, or will the Nodes in the two fan packs I'm getting be enough? My current case only has the 3 LLs in the front and 1 in the rear, so the included hardware was enough, and I've never worked with more than 4 fans, so I want to be sure I'm going into this prepared. As far as everything goes, what are the opinions and suggestions? Would the 7000D be a better approach and buy the Commander separately? Thanks, community, you are all awesome!
  2. I've posted about this several times with no real solution or resolution, but as of recently it has gotten a bit worse. I've been playing through God of War 2018, and after some play time I will get a constant disconnect/reconnect sound, I will see the pump RGB go dark and light back up, and the new thing is it interrupts my inputs. Whatever I'm doing at the moment; running, blocking, anything else being done through the keyboard is interrupted and all movement stops. I've had the disconnect/reconnect issue for years now (I'd say approximately 3 years), but it has never interrupted user input. I'm sure I'm well beyond any kind of warranty support, and I'm not even 100% that it's the AIO, for all I know it could be the Commander. I do plan on case swapping and upgrading my AIO in the near future, so I've been kind of letting it slide. but now it's actually affecting gameplay instead of just being excruciatingly annoying with the constant sounds. Are there any remedies or solutions out there that I can attempt to see if it would at least stop interrupting my input? I can't attach my iCue logs zip file because apparently they're 87.6MB, which is significantly larger than what's allowed.
  3. I've had this ongoing issue for years at this point. No iCue update has solved it, and it seemingly just comes and goes. I'll be doing something on my PC, typically gaming, and out of nowhere my AIO will disconnect and reconnect in rapid succession, sometimes dozens of times in a row. I can't begin to explain how irritating it is to listen to the disconnect/reconnect sound repeatedly while I'm trying to play a game. It doesn't do it consistently, it will happen somewhat at random. I can't recreate the issue at will. I thought it might somehow be temperature related, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's only the AIO, nothing else does it. It drives me bonkers having to listen to it when it does happen, and I just can't explain it or figure it out. Has anyone else had this problem? I can post my logs, though I've done that in the past to no avail. My hardware, other than drives, have not changed in about 3 years. Just figured since it's been a long time since I've asked I'd check to see if there has been any updates or potential fixes at this point.
  4. I posted about these disconnects with my H115i quite awhile ago - https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=187710 (05-26-2019) Mine is still doing it, as well. As far as monitoring software, I don't run anything but GPU Tweak II from Asus for my 1080Ti, and Intel XTU for my CPU. I don't have Aida64 or HWinfo64 installed on here. It seems to mostly happen when I'm in games. It's happened in Assassin's Creed games, Overwatch, Division 2, and probably others that I'm forgetting, and at one point the colors went totally static and couldn't be changed because it wasn't even showing in iCue. It's been an issue for nearly a year now, is there any fix on the horizon? It's severely irritating to be playing a game and hear the USB disconnect/reconnect prompts anywhere from 5 to 20+ times in a row while my pump and fans flash on and off.
  5. Until I updated the BIOS I was never prompted to update the CoPro, so that's why I'm assuming the BIOS update prompted everything to be recognized suddenly after disappearing. I'm not saying for sure that that is what fixed it, but it's the only thing I've done differently over the last few months and magically everything is working again.
  6. So, I just updated the BIOS on my motherboard, and while rebooting to update fully, I noticed the colors on the H115i were no longer static. Once everything updated fully and I booted back up, I opened up iCue and it prompted me to update the CoPro to the newest firmware. I did, and suddenly my H115i is now showing up. Apparently it didn't like the BIOS I had had installed for quite awhile. As of this moment, everything seems to be operating as it should, FINALLY. ajmi982, check your motherboard manufacturer's site to see if you have a BIOS update available, just as a measure to ensure you've done everything you can.
  7. Here are the logs from today, post iCue update. Hopefully something in there is helpful, but seems to be very little other than the typical mouse pad stuff that fills it.23JulyLogs.zip
  8. Just updated iCue hoping it would somehow correct the problem. No change at all. Still not recognized in iCue but showing as recognized and plugged in under USBDeview. Lights are still completely static, stuck as a multi color rainbow. I'm at a loss at this point.
  9. It appears it's not the provided cable, either. I just swapped out the test cable and plugged the provided, installed cable back in and Windows indicated it recognized and set up the device, but there's still no change in lighting or in iCue.
  10. Thanks for the response, Mike. I've restarted iCue services within the program a few times I've done a repair installation on iCue I've completely uninstalled it and reinstalled it I tried another micro USB cable to another PC, and while it did indicate that it found and set up the H115i, when I checked iCue (I downloaded that onto my other PC solely to check for the H115i) it didn't show any devices. I used the same cable, plugged it into the PC that the H115i is installed in, and it showed up as being recognized, shows as connected in USBDeview, but doesn't show up in iCue and the lighting is still static. I'm not sure if I understand the flashing it with another PC. Updating/Forcing firmware from iCue on another PC? It seems like so far the USB cable provided with it is bad, or possibly disconnected (it's a pain to dig through that side of the PC to track everything down, so I'm trying everything else first), but even were that the case, with a different cable and it being recognized but not showing seems to indicate another, deeper issue, right? Thanks, Dustin
  11. I haven't seen my H115i in iCue in quite a long while. Recetnly, every time I start/restart my PC I get an error saying the last device connected malfunctioned. I can only assume that's the H115i, unless something else has gone haywire, even though my connections never change and everything else seems to be operating as it should. In the 7 months I've owned it and had it installed, I think it showed up maybe 2 months total in iCue. It used to at least default to the last known color configuration I had it set to, which was a system wide link, but now it just sits completely static. All the LEDs are on, but they don't change color. Everything else is working as it should, as far as Corsair products and color goes. I tried another USB cable from the pump to the rear I/O with no change. I've uninstalled or never turn on most of the hardware monitoring software I have. I have HWMonitor installed, but I don't use it. I have AIDA Pro, but I haven't used it in some time. The only monitoring I use regularly is GPU Tweak II and Intel XTU. At least the pump appears to still be working. I haven't melted my CPU, so I've got that going for me, which is nice. It may not light up like it should, which is why I bought it in the first place, but it's still a good cooler.\ I'm just not sure what to do with it anymore.
  12. I do run HWmonitor, but I don't leave it on, I only check it from time to time, I don't leave it constantly running. The same with Intel's XTU. If just being installed can potentially cause the issue I'll remove them until I need them again. The cooler is connected directly to my motherboard, with the fans connected to a lighting hub. I've had it occur while gaming through Uplay and Battle.net, as well as while watching YouTube videos through Chrome. I keep Steam closed, and generally Uplay is closed. Battle.net has been one of the few launchers I've kept open consistently, but I'll keep that closed when I'm not using it, too. The problem just seems to come and go. I'll start checking it against HWmonitor and my launchers by just opening them one by one and hopefully verifying if any one program I have on here is the issue. As far as the mousepad, is there any reason it's a constant in the logs? Is that a normal thing?
  13. I'm close to turning off the sounds because it'll happen randomly, be it while I'm gaming through Steam, Uplay, Battle.net, or while watching YouTube. When I bought my Obidian 500D RGB SE the CoPro was already purposely mounted to the inside corner of the tempered glass door that swings open. Had I hooked it all up as it was mounted I never would have been able to open the panel. I called Corsair tech once I got to the point of hooking it up because I was confused with the placement and they said the misplacement was a known issue and that they recommend I use a hairdryer to loosen the adhesive and replace it in a better location. I was really disappointed with that after dropping $250 on the case, but in the end I did it and it worked.
  14. So I've been playing some Starcraft 2, with Steam closed and not running, and the AIO started spazzing out again, repeatedly connecting, disconnecting, and flashing on and off. It went into a constant pattern for a few minutes then stopped and seem to be fine. Then it did it again for several minutes straight, and now it's just not lit anymore and I'm not disconnecting/reconnecting. Why? Why is this an issue? What hoops do I have to jump through to resolve this? I'm tired of hearing the constant noise of it cycling while I'm trying to play my games, and now it's not even lit. I shouldn't have to constantly restart my PC or triage what programs I'm running just to maintain my AIO. Will there ever be a fix for this? Is it my Corsair mousepad causing the issue? Between this, the AX860i debacle, and the 500D Commander Pro issue, I'm really starting to lose faith in Corsair, which is frustrating because nearly my entire system is built with Corsair products.iCue.zip iCUElogs.zip
  15. I updated my iCue software to the newest version last night. I was playing Assassin's Creed: Odyssey just before making this post and my H115i started disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. It must have done it about 20 times before I turned the game off to make this post. It seems to have stopped for now, though. It has done it before, in the past with older versions of iCue, as well, but it didn't do it repeatedly more than maybe twice. Is this still a software issue, or could it be a cable issue? It seems fine right now, and is registering in iCue (as H115i Platinum(1)). Could it be from my MM800 mousepad that seems to appear in the logs continuously, but seemingly operates just fine? I just want to get it figured out because the USB disconnect and reconnect sound was driving me absolutely bonkers while I was playing. Thanks! iCUElogs.zip
