  1. If you are using it w/o OC I think 92.38°C looks high especially when you actually have Platinum model and it comes with 2000RPM fans. Mine was Pro RGB model and it comes with 1200RPM fans. I can guess your temp may have 5C-10C higher side. Speaking of the sudden temperature spike, I can replicate 20C spike in 1 sec by trivial 10% load like opening multiple tabs. By CPU-Z stress test, I can make 40C+ spike in a few second.
  2. Hey, my combination is 3900X and h115i too. With CPU-Z 5min, CPU temp is delta 60C with Extreme mode. (Room temp: 15C, CPU temp: 75C) M/B settings for CPU are default. When you use overclock feature on m/b you could get +5C, +10C or +15C added to this.
  3. iCue (not background service) using 8% of ryzen 3900X. Is it known issue? Or does iCue actually require such processor resource?
  4. Hi I’m now playing with 2 identical 2-fan aio and found interesting behavior of a fan on one of them. Though other fans react on boot like spin - stop - spin - continue this particular one does spin - continue Which behavior is expected? Is starting torque different from the others? Won’t overcurrent happen on this fan as it get same amount of electric current as ones that aren’t spinning? Any comments are appreciated.
  5. Thanks for the reply. That's nice finding. I don't have experience with cool-it aio. That must be expected result for these AIOs as you described. Looks like I need to adjust the fan curve. I tested how pump speed affect under full load with cpuz. Pump speed 1000rpm CPU:88C, Coolant:32C 2000rpm CPU:80C, Coolant:28C 2700rpm CPU:79C, Coolant:27C (FANs are all 1100rpm) Average CPU temp option would be nice. Speaking of pump speed and fan speed, it seems that the effect of pump speed for cooling hit the ceiling easily than fan's air flow. But the pump speed immediately affects the temperature of CPU. When I increased the pump speed to 1000 to 2000, the temperature drops 8C instantly. Corsair software can now read 3900X temp? It's AMD's officially supported AIO. It should be zen2 ready asap :D:
  6. Hi I have same CPU with 280mm Corsair AIO and having similar huge discrepancy of each temperature. May I ask your room temperature? FWIW, I’m getting cpuz 15min stress test temperature like Coolant:28C, Room:15C, CPU:80, Fan RPM:1200, Pump: 2700rpm. [EDIT] temp corrected
  7. UPDATES: I'm not 100% sure what was cause, but I can add more information. 1) I ordered a sheet of thermal pad. I put this pad instead of grease and tightened the screw as same way as before. The difference of temperature was in the range of error. 2) I unmounted the aio and tightened the screw a little, where I can move the water block if I apply force from each corner. The Temperature went down delta 9C. Additionally, before I employ this method, I found the the thermal paste only dissolved specific part. I'll add more finding if I get. *I took out radiator from case so no force from hoses are applying to water block while checking. UPDATE2: I can see the diminish of the abruptness of full load temperature spike.
  8. *some data addition 5 mins cpuz stress test. Room Temp:13 CPU: 88C AIO Mode: Performance So theoretically, winter will be eventually over and the room temp should be +10C and 280AIO won't be able to handle the default CPU without severe thermal throttling. It shouldn't be normal. It could be contact issue as c-attack said.
  9. I'm looking at Core Temp and Corsair Link but the data I posted here are all Corsair Link status. In terms of Core Temp measurement, it reports data more frequently and shows higher temp at highest (+ 5C). Yes, it's strange. I checked if it is mounted properly and water block thing contacts CPU surface.
  10. The idle CPU temp even jumps over 60C frequently. And by just watching youtube it goes to 74C.I found this info in tomshardware https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/ryzen-9-3900x-with-h115i-platinum.3521780/?view=date True. They said with 23-25C room temp your cpu should be low 30C idle and even light web browsing it should hover around max high 30s of low 40. When i said no, mine is 53C using youtube they said okay thats it we will send you a replacement. I will put the new one with the thermal grizly and post all findings! My room temp is lower than his 23-25C (mine is around 13-15C) but overall temp are higher than his H115i Platinum which turned out to be faulty. I checked thermal paste and mounting screw. I don't know what is causing underwhelming performance.
  11. Thanks for the response. So is it right that you are basically saying I didn't put enough heat into the AIO to change the temp of water? So the AIO temps didn't change even after the benchmark? The combination of the CPU/AIO is 3900X(TDP:105W) and H115i pro by the way. Additionally, I noticed that the fan speed never increased above 1200 rpm while benchmark and CPU down clocks to around 2k Hz sooner than the bench starts. The temp were 95C. And the water temp is still 25C :sigh!:
  12. Hi I'm new to AIO and I don't fully know how the heat of CPU is transmitted while its stressed. The temperatures of idle and stressed scenarios are like below. Idle CPU: 50C AIO: 20.6C (X) Stressed CPU:80C AIO:21.7 (Y) (Picture) Water temp difference(X-Y)= 1.1C The water temp hardly changes. Is it normal behavior of AIO? My impression is its not working properly but PC doesn't shut down so far, so it is at least cooled by AIO? [EDIT] Clarify the numbers.
  13. I appreciate your input. I'm going to contact them if they know the detail of this symptom and warranty condition will void.
  14. Hi I took a brand new radiator out of the box and found a part covered with rust like weird stain on it. I understand there are inevitable dent or bent on fins and channels. But I haven't seen this kind of mark on new one. Is it safe to keep using from now on? Additionally, won't I void the warranty for falsely being determined me damaging the radiator in the future when Corsair/Local Distributor found it? Thanks in advance.
  15. Yes I tried to change the CPU fan voltage control in bios. It looks like I got an unlucky one :(: Thank you for your sharing knowledge. It helped.
