  1. Hi All, I am not a newb when it comes to PC's, I have been in the industry 44 years BUT I recently brought 3 RM1000X PSU's and I can not find anywhere which of the six 8 PIN connectors on the back are EPS and which are for PCIe Video. I've checked the manual and there is no indication and I have checked the PSU and there is no indication, I even went looking for installation videos to no avail. My previous Silverstone Striders ( still in use ) made it extremely clear and even had different socket colours ( blue ) for you to plug the PCIe connections into so there could be no confusion. I HATE making assumptions. Are the six 8 pin connections on the PSU all the same I.E you could plug PCIe or EPS into any of them and it would just work or are there specific connectors for specific cabling - this needs to be a lot clearer IMHO. Thanks in advance.
  2. Why is iCue altering the byte at 0x24? of the SPD which according to my research on DDR4 memory is the most significant nibble for the value of tFAW.
  3. Sorry that's just not going to happen, when you buy a kit you buy it as a kit so that all modules are speed matched so if you want four 4gb modules you buy a 16gb kit where the modules have been tested together and are known to work together. You can't just match timings and expect it to work because there are all sorts of sub timings involved. You would be better off returning your new kit and buying a kit that is the correct size for your needs, once it is working you can sell off your old memory second hand.
  4. I have just recently purchased: ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme Alpha AMD Threadripper 2950X 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO CMW64GX4M4C3200C16W The memory works well, the lighting is working great but I always investigate my memory modules. BIOS shows me appropriate information. CPU-Z gives me appropriate information. System Information, A tool provided by ASUS either crashes or presents me with a drop down list that shows no memory modules to look at. Thaiphoon Burner another program I have used to read the contents of the Serial Presence Detect chip on the my modules indicates that every module has a CRC Error in it's SPD on SM Bus # 0 51,53,55 and 57. Does this mean this memory has a fault in it's SPD? I also notice but I think it is the same case for all my Corsair RAM RGB or not that although the boxes have serial numbers on them the modules do not - should this be the case?
