  1. Unless you want to disassemble your RAM and fix the crappy solder joints that are causing this, then a replacement is the answer...but until they get their manufacturing issues sorted out, replacement is a luck of the draw kinda thing. You might get good ram with no issues, you might get the same issue again, or you might get something like I did, where the color of all the LED's for some of your sticks are off vs the others. Personally, since all my LED's actually work, I'm just tweaking the color in iCUE to match better and waiting for them to give word that QC is at least improved on these, then I'll probably request a replacement again.
  2. RMA till you get a good one (they do exist), or get a refund.
  3. Thanks for this dude, really, but as luck would have it I got my block in a few days ago and the last things needed for the build just today. Going to start it in a bit. Luckily, everything seems to line up well too so measurements weren't needed :D Thanks again though!
  4. Yea, it's becoming painfully clear that this is a hardware issue. This is a specific one many of us have faced, but QC in general seems pretty bad. Even when I finally did get a good kit the color calibration between the 4 sticks, all from a 4x16 kit, is abysmal. Dunno what is going on over there at Corsair but it's getting kinda ridiculous.
  5. I really doubt it. Probably just some pressure on top of the sticks during install making it come back, just like my last kit was. Had my new kit for like 4 days now. No issues with LED's going out but everything software wise from the iCUE version, to the dimm layout, to the profiles used, is the same.
  6. Just picked up my new kit from Best Buy...no dead LED's yet (though it's only been an hour or so), but the first three sticks are red tinged, enough to affect white a good bit and other colors a touch...I can and have tuned them to match with a custom RGB profile, but I should NOT have to do this for RAM this expensive. Is the QC on this stuff just non-existent? As long as it keeps working, I'm going to keep it for now, especially with the holidays and me needing 64GB of ram for work...but this is pretty disappointing tbh, and I might seek an exchange after the holidays are over.
  7. Amazon should offer you a advanced replacement. They shipped me a new kit as soon as I reported the same problem and gave me a month to return the old one. Problem for me is my replacement was stolen in shipping lol. Hopefully you have better luck.
  8. Ah...the saga continues...someone stole my replacement ram in transit and I was just delivered an empty box. Gotta love it.
  9. Mine was fine for two days, then just failed...not trying to be a downer but keep an eye on it for sure.
  10. I agree GhostWorks...decided to try a replacement via Amazon anyway though. Should be here Friday. If it has issues as well I will probably be refunding.
  11. Exact kit I purchased about 2 weeks ago. Mine had a LED start acting up after 2 days. Went blue when it should have been white. Here's to hoping my replacement works out.
  12. I've thrown in the towel on this LED not functioning and done the same. Replacement should be here by Friday at latest. Here's to hoping we both get lucky Simone (the fact I have to use the word luck when talking about a $894 kit of RAM is more than a bit annoying lol).
  13. That's because it's not really a solution...more of a confirmation of a hardware fault. Clearly they have a whole batch of these that have this issue, or they made a hardware change that turned out bad and every unit has a chance of this now. This is why I am hesitant to RMA just yet. I don't want to go through the whole process just to get another messed up kit.
  14. I am aware of this...I'm just wondering if we should wait until the conclusion of your investigation to start the RMA process. Reading other responses here it would seem that this issue is systemic and we have a very good chance of getting another defective kit.
  15. Yea, don't worry, I'm right there with you. Currently have a few LED's failing on some of my LL120's, now this... That said, Corsair has been extremely accommodating in getting those fans replaced. Since I have a custom loop and am draining it to swap the GPU soon, they agreed to wait to ship out the replacement fans for advanced RMA till the new GPU block I pre ordered from them ships, so I only have to tear everything down once. So I guess if I'm going to have issues, at least it is with Corsair. Still a bummer though.
