Micro usb charging port burned

Hello,

I'm posting here today because yesterday my headset was beeping due to a low level battery so I plugged it to my computer with the original cable as usual but after 2-3 minutes of charge I noticed a smell of burnt plastic from the headset so I immediatly removed the micro usb cable from the charging port. :ummmm:

Smoke was coming out from the port ! How could this happen ?

After that the headset was still off, I didn't touch it for around 30 minutes and when I turned it on it worked for twenty seconds before it died out. The headset doesn't want to charge with another cable and the original cable is burnt... :sigh!:

Do you think it could be replaced with standard rma process ? :[pouts:

Or if it didn't, do you think it will be hard to fix ?

Thank you in advance.

EDIT: My headset is a Vengeance 2100 that I had to replace a Vengeance 2000 which had cracked one year ago.
