Default Static sound in Wireless Vengeance 2000

Just bought these today.

plugged them in, charged, installed drivers.

They work perfectly as long as the mini USB cable is connected. As soon as I disconnect the charging cable a static will appear in the left speaker of the headphone and I can't figure a way of getting rid of it. This static is even there if the pc is off and the headphones are turned to on. It will slightly change to a higher pitch when you turn them on, but remain there constantly until I either turn them off completely or - connect the mini USB cable again.

Any ideas?

just tried on a different PC - same thing.

The fact that the static is even there if the USB dongle is not plugged in and the speakers are simple set to on seems to indicate they are faulty.

Did you fully charge the Headset before you started to use them?

I started using them halfway through the charging process with the cable still connected, once the light turned to green I removed the charging cable and that's when I first noticed the static straight away.

Let the run out of juice, then let them fully charge as per the setup guide - don't use them or turn them on. Once they've fully charged, try them again.

Tried that now - same issue.
Also no reply as of yet from official Corsair ticket (after 48 hours)

Sending them back to retailer tomorrow for refund, thanks for the help anyway - one very disappointed customer.

I've got the same problem. And I submitted two tickets to corsair, after 48 hours still no reply.

I used to really like corsair I own several products from them, but this was really a slap in the face.

I guess that's what happens when a company becomes to big, they **** on customers.
