Default Vengeance 1500 headset about to go back under DSR

Hi,

Can't seem to solve this one so I am looking for ideas on it ...

I got this new 1500 headset, set it up and I have the following issues:

Sound in music has some static (seemingly random clicks) ... not overly so but annoying none the less.

Sound in movies has some 'static' (as with music) during dialogue and when there's lots going on the sound lasts for a second or so, gets interrupted briefy and another second, interrupted and so on .. unusable!

Sound in games is the same as in movies, when loads of action it
lasts for a second or so, gets interrupted briefy and another second, interrupted and so on .. unusable!

I don't have these issues with the onboard sound in my rig (analogue & digital). I can get what seems like a decent quality of sound with the control software but the 'scratched record' effect when under 'stress' makes this headset unusable right now for games & movies.

I have drivers as downloaded this weekend (V1.1).
I have removed the realtek drivers that were previously installed.
I have tried different USB 2.0 ports with no discernable change in this behavior.
I have gone through the windows options re the bitrate and quality to see if that makes a difference but tis always the same.
I have tried different speaker layouts in windows control panel - no change.
I have also tried the different settings in the games with no impact on the 'scratched record' behaviour.

It definitely seems that it is related to load ... as music/dialogue/quieter game moments have some static sound but get stuck into BF3 or a busy part of an action movie and the issue arises.

Any ideas?

Default

Bump .. 1 day till DSR window expires!

Surely someone from corsair views these forums and can comment ... if this is fixable with configuration I'll hang in there but I doubt it tbh.
