Default i7 920 + Asus P6T + 9GB ram

Maybe stupid question..but xD..Is it possible to have 9GB ram on the Asus p6t?

I have two kits:
1) Corsair Dominator (1GB x 3) DDR3 1600 TR3X3G1600C8D
2) Corsair Dominator (2GB x 3) DDR3 1600 TR3X6G1600C8D

They have same rev 2.1 and I use 7 64-bit

Can they work together? Will I loose the triple-channel? Does it worth?

thank u in advance : D

In most cases they should work but it really depends on how picky the memory controller is on the i7. I would say your better off buying a Kit that Corsair will guarantee will work running 6 sticks up at 12GB. Part # HX3X12G1600C9

Mixing memory like that we would suggest running the memory at DDR1066 or DDr1333, as AlLkNoWinG suggested it would be best to purchase 12 Gig Kit.

You're mixing memory of different sizes and ICs, which is not tested or recommended or guaranteed to work together. Memory controllers just don't like to do it.
