Default Corsair Vengeance RGB (Non Pro) Support

Hi all. I've been looking at purchasing some new RAM for an upcoming build and have been looking at both the Pro and non pro variants of the Vengeance RGB RAM than Corsair supplies.

I found out recently that the Pro version is only controllable with iCUE whereas the non pro version can be controlled via Asus Aura OR iCUE. Some have been saying there is pros and cons between both. I know that the Lighting Link feature isn't supported and that doesn't worry me too much.

My new Asus motherboard will have on board RGB so if possible I'd like to sync the RGB with that and my Asus GTX 1080. On another day I may wish to sync my RAM with my Commander Pro and Lighting Link, will I encounter an issue? Are you using a similar setup?
