More ram capacity or faster ram speed for Intel i9 10900K?

I am building an Intel i9 10900K system

I was planning to get 32gb (4x 8gb) Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR4 3200 but the problem is that I can only find them in CL16.

So I thought of getting 32gb (4x8gb) Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR4 3600 but these are CL18. The price difference from DDR4 3200 is about US$ 105

Edit.

Since I had to confirm with the store, I had to go ahead with 32gb oF Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR4 3200 CL16. I believe these will be better than CL18 even at DDR4 3600.

Hope I made the right decision.

latency for both 3200C16 and 3600C18 is 10ns so it doesn't really matter unless you plan to OC them any further. Dominators will most likely be more suited for further OC, I have my 2x16GB 3200C16 up to 3800C18 and that is a noteable difference. That said, ther are still a few more factors that come into play regarding your RAM's performance.

As a rule of thumb divide the frequency by the CL and this gives you a number you can compare with other RAM. 3200/16 is 200. 3600/18 is also 200. So these are about the same performance. The higher the result the better, so 3200/14 which is 228 would be better.

That is just a quick guide if you need to refer to tests on your specific CPU to find out what an ideal is and whether CL or frequency is more important. Sometimes it makes a difference, sometimes it doesn't.
