Default I appear to be powering my MB via a 2 x 6 pin to 8pin CPU is that correct?

I currently have installed a CS750M, when I check the tech specs it shows that the 4+4 Pin to CPU is fixed...but I appear to be using Type 3 Corsair cable that is 6pin x 2 and it plugs into the Peripheral & Sata port is that correct or have it got it completely wrong....the system appears to be working just fine though, zero issues.

The EPS12V is 8-pin for the motherboard close to the CPU

The PCIe cables are intended for video cards
