Corsair 1000D & Hydro X cooling

Recommended Posts

So I put together my dual pc

Asus Maximus XI Hero

I9 9900k

4x8gb corsair vengeance rgb 3200

Rtx 2080ti

Asus b360 z gaming

I5 9600k

2x8 gb 3000 mhz corsair vengeance lpx

Rtx 2070

So 1 hydro x water pump/reservoir

2x hydro x GPU blocks (2080ti, 2070 fe)

2x hydro x CPU blocks (1151)

10x HD120 RGB

3x HD140 rgb

4x rgb strips

So I connected everything together. Pc works, fans spin BUT, rgb aint working. In icue I can detect the lighting node pros, control ram rgb and case rgb, but no fan rgb lights, no hydro x rgb lights, no strips lighting

On my commander pro

11x fans connected to pwm (with 2x splitters each port, front 8 and top 3)

LED 2: RGB Fan LED Hub (left 4 HD120 front panel fans)

USB 1: lighting node pro 1

- Lighting node pro 1-1: RGB Fan LED HUB (front 4 HD120 right fans)

- Lighting node pro 1-2: RGB fan LED HUB (top 3 HD140 fans and 2 HD120 exhaust)

USB 2: Lighting Node Pro 2

- Lighting Node Pro 2-1: Corsair Hydro x (Pump -> 2070 -> 2080ti -> i9 9900k) skipped the second CPU block cause it doesnt have an in and out, and its blocked by the 2070

- Lighting Node Pro 2-2: RGB strips

There anything I've done wrong? Does the CoPRO not accept that many connections? Lol

The pump pwm is connected to the mobo

Last 2 exhaust pwm are connected to mobo too

The 11 fans may be a bit much. We usually recommend no more than 9. Note that this isn't an official position from Corsair but just what we've seen here on the forums.

As for the RGB - did you configure the lighting channels with the number and type of device connected? While iCUE will detect the CoPro and NoPro, it cannot detect what's connected to the RGB ports.

Channel 1 is chassis lighting

Channel 2 is the rgb fan hub

USB 1 is node pro 1

USB 2 is node pro 2

And yeah, I did configure it (4 fans, 4 fans, 5 fans, hydro x, strips)
