MajesticMoose
I am trying to when a key is pressed, a wave is sent throughout that key's row. How would i do this? I split all of the rows into seperate groups, but i don't know how to make the wave start from the pressed key, not the middle of the row. Any ideas? You are saying there is no way to get the effect that i am looking for?
autovfx
yes, from the point of origin. like you want is only available as a "typelighting" so that is a Global lighting per profile and you only have 1 lighting slot for that. however you can separate keys into groups and make an assload of them for each vertical row and horizontal. then spend about an hour keeping track of your array of groups and assign a custom waveform to each group that gives the effect that you are looking for. then you can get something that looks pretty close to what you are describing. SmSumodude20
If you want rows or columns to have a wave effect when you press a key then just add a wave lighting effect to each group. For example if you want "~" to "backspace" then highlight all the keys in there and add them to a group then add a wave effect to that group. If you want it from "Esc" to "Ctrl" then do the same for that row, but on the wave effect you need to change the degrees to 270 for top to bottom, or 90 for bottom to top. This will not work because it originates from the middle of the group, not from the pressed key.
SmSumodude20
This will not work because it originates from the middle of the group, not from the pressed key. It starts from the top or side of the row depending on the degree you set. I'm not sure of an easy way to make a wave originate from the pressed key though.
