jlopez
hello i recently bought the XC7 and XG7 hydro series blocks. Before mounting, i've tested them with an air tester. the XC7 is ok but i've immediately found a leak on the XG7 (graphic card waterblock), passing from 0.75 bar to 0 in less that 5 seconds. The leak was on the micro fins plate. I removed the screws and found that the squarred black gasket was out of its groove channel on a side and so was a little pinched by the pressure of the micro fins plate. So i've lubricated it witch special silicon grease and replaced it. Now since 20 minutes the pressure is at 0.75 bar without no drop. Could imagine if i didn't do this single test before mouting and filling with water ? @Corsair i suggest you to perform some leak test before sending the waterblock. Corsair Employee Corsair GregX Posted February 25, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 25, 2020 Hi, Prior to being packed, a leak test is performed on every CPU and GPU water block. Was the packaging of the GPU water block factory sealed?
