Declare4
Hello everyone, I built my first water cooling loop using the Hydro X XC5 and a GPU bloom for the 2080ti FE. It has been a year since the initial build and I am looking into flushing the system and adding new coolant and hopefully switching over to PETG hard tubing. My question is I have the 3/8 and 5/8s diameter soft tubing. If I just use hard tubing with the same dimensions would my fittings work or would I need to over new fittings? My setup: CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X GPU: EVGA 2080TI Black Edition Mobo: x570 Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme PSU: Corsair HX1000 RAM: 32 Vengence Pro RBG Case: Lian Li PC Dynamic 0-
acemaninwa871
You need hardline fittings. Soft tubing fittings will not work with hard tube.

acemaninwa871
Hardline fittings have an inner o ring inside the fitting, and an outter o ring that is held in place by an outer ring that screws onto the main fitting. Here's a pic of a hardline fitting
Declare4
So, I am using some rigid PETG tubing. It has a 3/8 and 1/2 inch (ID/OD). Would you by any chance know which one of the hardline fittings from corsair is appropriate the 12mm or the 14mm. Thank you in advance.
