Default Sidetone question

I checked other threads, and wasn't able to find this particular question. Let me know if I just missed it and it's actually out there.

On sidetone, if I turn it up, does that mean the mic is sending more to whoever I'm talking to also, or just that I can hear more of what the mic is picking up?

I'm using a Void Pro RGB, iCue version 3.17.94

Thanks!

It just means that the feedback into the headset is louder. The microphone volume is separately controllable.
