iCue are note detecting my hardware [+USB HUB]

Hello guys,

First of all, I would like to say I'm not so familiar with english language, so I'm sorry for my bad writing.

My rig is the following:

- Ryzen 5 3600

- Biostar X370GTN (m-ITX)

- Crystal 280x RGB case

- AIO H115i;

- 2x SP140L (AIO stock fans)

- 2x LL120 at the front (stock case fans)

- 2x LL140 at the bottom

- 1x Lightning node Pro

So, the problem is: the mobo has only one USB connector. So what I did was:

- Bought a fan USB hub (plugged all 4pin fans in this);

- Plugged the fan hub in my SYS_FAN mobo header (connected the AIO pump 3pin in CPU_FAN header of the mobo)

- Bought an USB hub by NZXT;

- Connected the pump and the Lightning Node Pro in the NZXT hub.

Doing that, my iCUE are not detecting any of my devices.

I know, I'm noob. But PLEASE, could anyone help me? I would buy a commander PRO, but I didn't find any place to buy here in Brazil.

TLDR:

Can I use an USB HUB (by NZXT) to make the CPU_FAN (H115i) + SYS_FAN (4 corsair PWN fans plugged thru and fan hub/splitter) be detected by iCUE? Doing this due to a mobo with only 1 USB 2.0 header.

UPDATE: Now the Lightning Node Pro is showing up in the iCUE, and I can control the fan colors, but the H115i wasn't recognized

Does anyone have an idea ok what a hell is going on? :(

Did you plug the Node Pro direct to your motherboard for it to show up?

No, I didn't. Both H115i and Node pro are connected on mobo thru the NZXT hub.

I think iCUE and the devices drivers are buggy.

Yesterday I opened the devmgmt and a "Corsair USBXp Driver" showed up. Then I uninstalled it, restart windows, and the H115i was recognized, but I still couldn't change the colors of the RGB.

Today the H115i is gone from iCUE again. I'm note sure if is a cable or even a hardware problem with the H11i, but it is really frustrating

At least you have the Corsair USBXP showing up, mine has disappeared completely.

There are many of us that use the NZXT hub without issue, myself included.

You'll need to see if the devices worked when connected directly to the motherboard. It is possible that the hub is bad.

Beyond that ... you also need to make sure that you have your chipset drivers installed. The drivers that Windows installs by default aren't sufficient. You'll also want to disable Windows Fast Startup (https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup) and Fast Boot in the BIOS - all of these will bypass USB initialization and have been known to cause issues with detection.

Also, check USB DeView - Download USBDeView from https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html. This will show all connected USB Devices. If you don't see the Corsair devices on that list (Vendor ID 1b1c), iCUE won't see them either. And that's an issue, typically, in Windows or with your system, not with iCUE.

But can you see your devices in ICUE if they are plugged into your NZXT hub? I moved my Node pro to my motherboard & I can now see that, but i swapped that with my H100i & that has now disappeared. I have ordered a commander pro so i am hoping this fixes the issue anyway

Thanks for the tips, man. Already disabled Fast Startup and Boot. Both Node Pro and H115i works when plugged directly to the motherboard

OMG, could it be NZXT hub malfunctioning?

It was difficult to find this available in a reasonable price, but finally I managed to buy a brand new Commander Pro

All of my problems gone, and now I have full control off speed and RGB setups through iCUE
