1Man
I can no longer get the mute button to toggle between colours like the Win-Lock button does. Is this a bug inherent to the new software/firmware? I'm using a K65 RGB
Toasted
I don't think there was ever a indicator option for mute. The other method to do something sort of like this is to assign the mute button a profile that changes colour when pressed and changes back when pressed again. LuckyTheCat
It is not possible because of hardware limitations. It's totally possible. Maybe not the way that indicators are currently done, but the indicator could just check if the primary sound device is muted and then do whatever action. It is possible, as mine is currently orange :P

You're right in that there is no mute option the indicator menus but the key definitely changed colour before when I used to press it. Oh well. Corsair Employee Corsair James Posted May 1, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 1, 2015 It's totally possible. Maybe not the way that indicators are currently done, but the indicator could just check if the primary sound device is muted and then do whatever action. The keyboard uses Windows' HID service for media button activation but it does not actually detect whether the mute is on or off. The reason why the other indicators can show "on/off" is because it is programmed into the hardware itself. Mute and volume on the other hand are only triggers. Unless CUE is the audio device passthrough, for example, there is no way for the keyboard to actually know whether the mute state is on or off. You could press mute to change colors as many times as you'd like but it wouldn't actually be indicative of mute being toggled at all since it is on the OS end, not the keyboard itself. Kluluen
I would think windows has APIs to return this kind of information. It would be a nice feature to have.
