Is there any MB (AMD3 or AMD3+ CPU) that has controller that will perform close to spec? I see some MB with SB950.
I am not a gamer so not worrying about SLI

It looks like my 6 SB850 ports have to all be set to AHCI,, can't do any of them separate.
I also have 2 BR/DVD Rom and 3 additional HDs. That means I would also have BR/DVDs or HDs also on SB850...

Force GT 180 GB speeds somewhat slow

Using ASRock 890FX Deluxe4 MB (all HD ports are SATA3), Win7 Ult 64bit.
AHCI in BIOS, used the program to enable AHCI in Win7 and checked that it changed registry.
MB has Marvell SE9123/9120 and...

I only have a single drive with AHCI and the SATA III.
My MB has RAID and can change...

I am using SATA 3 cable and AHCI.
The other brand is performing at spec or a little better so I think my system is fine. We will see...

Looking at upgrading C300 64Gb, so weighing options.

Looking at the Force 3 120GB vs some other brands on the 6Gbs SATA.
