  1. I've had this issue since Mid May 2018 on my keyboard, RGB K70 (Brown). I was prompted by CUE 2.24.50 to update to iCUE 3.3.103. I went ahead and updated. Upon reboot, and once I was in windows, the K70 frantically started to connect and disconnect while iCUE was running in the background. The only way to stop the annoying sound was to quit iCUE. I tried all the polling rates and the problem persists. Next, I rebooted again and this time around, my Windows boot got messed up. Again I tried all polling rates, but Windows refuses to load after the BIOS screen. The only way Windows loads is if I totally disconnect the K70 and plug it in once Windows loads to desktop. Tried booting with just the keyboard plugged in and all Polling rate, but still no luck. Next, I uninstalled iCUE in safe mode, also cleared the %TEMP% folder. I booted to Windows (again with the keyboard unplugged) & rolled back to CUE 2.24.50 hoping that it would fix the issue, but it did not. The same issues persist, connecting/disconnecting keyboard. I even tried different USB ports where other peripherals work flawlessly. I even tried USB 3.0, but to no luck. Next, from a previous corsair support ticket, I flashed the firmware that was provided by their team member, but the problem still persists. And in this period of 7-8 days, the only thing I had installed and uninstalled was CUE/iCUE. No system drivers were updated, no GPU drivers were updated. They keyboard is just under 3 years old. Everytime some problem crops up, it is due to a CUE update. Even back in Dec 2017, the malfunction lights issue got resolved after a CUE update. The Corsair forums are full of iCUE complaints. It seems to break the older hardware which Corsair might not have tested. Even as I type this, I have to use the K70 in BIOS mode, because the other polling rates disconnect my keyboard. I have never had to use the polling rates before. My system hardware too hasn't changed in 3 years. Now when I click 'Check for updates' in CUE 2.24.50, it says that your software is up to date. Which only means that Corsair pulled down the upgrade for CUE 2.24.50 users. Only way to get iCUE was through their website. I really wish that Corsair could own up and acknowledge this issue.
  2. I have the same issue with my K70 RGB (2014-15 Model) This started after CUE 2.24.50 prompted me that there is a newer version available which was iCUE 3.3.103. I updated it to iCUE and it all went downhill from there. After the first reboot, my keyboard started to connect/disconnect continuously until I quit iCUE and put the keyboard in BIOS mode. I could use it in BIOS mode without any lighting effects etc, but I can't, because the keyboard kind of disconnects briefly after every 5-10 minutes, so during an intense gaming session, this is not good. I couldn't care less about CUE since after every update, something or the other breaks. I removed cue, cleared appdata, cleaned registry, rebooted and downgraded to CUE 2.24.50 but the problem seems to have become permanent unfortunately. Thank you Corsair for the wonderful iCUE 3.3.103 update. Contacted Corsair support and I was instructed the to do the same s*** again. Repeated it but the problem still persists. Even on reboot, windows refuses to boot unless I disconnect the USB of the K70 (Nope, doesn't even boot up in BIOS mode of the K70) After a couple days, I tried CUE 2.24.50 again and I tried to check for the update. Guess what, it no longer redirected me to the webpage of iCUE 3.3.103. Instead it showed me 'software up to date' I'm quite sure Corsair knew they ****** up but are not yet acknowledging the issue. I don't know how this is going to get fixed as my keyboard is out of warranty now. If this doesn't get fix, I know what brand to not go for. I feel cheated. I've been dealing with this issue since the past 2 weeks and I can't find a solution even on Google.
  3. I have a K70 RGB (Cherry MX Brown) keyboard. So, here is my issue. In Dec 2017, some of the keys refused to switch to the configured (6-7 keys) colors. I contacted Corsair support and explained it to them with a few images of what exactly is happening. Just as they sent a reply with a firmware file attached to the support ticket, a new version of CUE was released which instantly fixed the problem without me flashing the firmware file. Recently, I got an update notification for the iCue 3.x.x. I updated to iCUE, and it all went downhill from there onwards. It broke my static color configuration, the same 6-7 keys malfunctioned again, my keyboad started to connect and disconnect every 5 seconds and it was getting annoying listening to the USB sounds. The only way to stop that was to quit the iCue software. Next problem, I shut down the PC and booted it up the next day for the first time after iCUE installation, and I had problems loading windows 10 pro past the BIOS screen. I switched the polling rate to BIOS mode (extreme left on my K70 keyboard). It booted up fine. Once in Windows, I switched the polling rate back to the default and the connect/disconnect issue returned until I quit iCue completely. I remembered Corsair's firmware file that they sent in Dec 2017. I thought it would be great to flash it (v2.05). Once I flashed it, the problem got even worse. Windows refused to boot up, no matter what the polling rate was selected. Now, everytime I reboot, I have to physically disconnect the keyboard till windows boots up. I reinstalled CUE 2.24.50 but the problem still exists. Corsair support hasn't responded to my ticket in 6 working days. Why would they anyway? My warranty expired 1.5 years back. iCUE broke my system so badly and it's quite sad and frustrating that Corsair doesn't provide older CUE software version on the main website! I have lost all hope from Corsair. Hopefully someone here will be able to help me out. Here is another user who had the issue fixed with a CUE software update. But rolling back to CUE from iCUE did not fix the issue for me. http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=911644
