Guess the coolant wasn't flowing through correctly, pump RPM seems fine, n you have reseated the cpu, RMA it is I guess.

I'm surprised I did not see this post.. I have had a similar issue.. My fan is at 2000 + all the time.. Whether the cpu is at 19c or 30c.. I managed to set it to 60% in the bios n trottle to 100%...

Many say the orientation of the rad doesn't have any effect on cooling, your idea, its not ideal but you could try n see if it gives you better or worse results and let us all know.

No precautions other than carefull handling of course , but i would suggest wiping off the thermal paste and re applying a fresh layer of paste for best results once you get the new processor

U need to reseat the block.. Faced the same issue at the time of my install, its tight but not flush IMO. System fan should read 4k+, cpu fan should read 1800 + Hope that helps

To completely rule out whether the problem is the pump or not, before touching the screws unplug the pump for a few secs and see if it makes the noise go away.

My H60 ran silent for a month,Now the Pump makes a loud hum for the first 2-4 minutes when I boot my system and then it goes away.I guess you need an RMA.

I enabled smart fan in the bios n set it at 40c n kept min fan speed at 87.5%, the fan stil spun at 2k temps were 23c. Is it a faulty fan?
