  1. 1 channel, 24 bit, 48000Hz studio quality (this is for both). I typically I have to switch it to a lower one then back when it turns high pitch. Only happens at the same time the Output sampling switches back to 8 channel when wireless. Dongle is in a 3.0 jack and its isolated from other 3.0 sources via a USB extension. All of this has been tested independently previously to eliminate problems along the line. I appears to be software related to how ICUE/Windows handles the forced switch in sampling rate.
  2. personally I think Windows sonic sounds bad and was Using Dolby Atmos, but switching to either of those when the audio goes crazy does resolve half the problem. Switching to one fixes the audio problem on the speakers but does not resolve the mic sounding funny. I switch back to no surround after. The mic I usually have to close out of discord and manually change the sampling rate and then it resolve the mic side of it. This is only on wireless mode, on wired I dont seem to have these issues. though it still defaults to 8 channel.
  3. unfortunately the only semi solution ive found so far is using it in Wired mode. Its still switches back to 8 channel but I dont get the crazy audio issues of fuzzy sound and distorted mic(SO FAR time will tell). Im guessing its a driver issue with the wireless dongle, im going out on a limb and thinking that the dongle/driver dont support the other response frequency or try to force it and it soft crashes the driver/dongle and that cause the weird audio issues. Taking the dongle out of the loop and using wired doesnt seem to have the same issue. ALSO Important to note, Audio Auto Repositioning is OFF and in Stereo for both modes.
  4. I have the same issue. I havent found a solution yet either. It just keeps going back to 8 channel no matter what I change. I use ICUE for several devices so disabling ICUE is not a solution for me.
  5. As far as I can tell there arent other games that this happens with yet. I have auto repositioning off because in many games where audio is important the surround settings always seem to throw off the actual direction the audio is coming from. I was using Dolby Atmos for a long time and thinking that might be a culprit I have that set to off for the time being. It seems like an issue with ICUE soft restarting and thus restarting the headset, but I cant confirm it at the moment since its randomly happens.
  6. My audio gets crackly and my mic suddenly makes me sound like a chipmonk when my Headset switches to 8 channel. It will change itself to 8 channel seemingly randomly when exiting a match of Apex Legends. Sometimes I notice the mic boom light and the wireless dongle both go out for a brief moment during this time like the headset reset.I am now using it in wired mode and notice this happen much less often. I have the headset set to Stereo in ICUE and set to 2 channel, 24bit 48k in windows.
  7. So awhile back I had similiar issues, the real problem with USB 3.0 is the frequency it operates on is VERY VERY close to the frequency that dongle transmits on also. Having the dongle near any other cables also plugged into USB 3.0 cause a TON of interference around the dongle as the wires act as little antennas. This basically makes the dongle blind to your headset at times so you get lost audio, choppy connection, lower audio quality in general. I found that if you just move the dongle away from the other 3.0 devices either 2.0 slots or use an extension cable all problems with bad connection go away.
  8. I had this problem also a while back, Though I bought mine probably 5 years ago. Turned out solid particulate was forming in the pump and fins of mine, I hope thats not the case for yours.
