  1. Hello all. Unsure if this pump res combo has been released yet but I see if for pre order on some sites. I'm quite keen on getting this setup for my Air 540 case. Will most likely go with a 280 radiator on top with soft tubing. Anyone else here thinking of using this pump res combo? Photos below for reference.
  2. So changed up the colors on my 540. I replaced the hoses and added the Corsair Hydro X Translucent blue coolant. I think I will go with the Hydro X Series XD3 pump res combo soon. Will be first time doing a custom loop.

    115i XT

Listened to all 4 of the clips and yes definitely noisy but as I don't own one of these I cannot say if it's normal or if there is an issue with it. In my opinion that is too noisy. At the end of the day it's your decision to either keep it or rma it.

There is a chance that some air bubbles are trapped in the cooling block itself causing some noise but over time it will move to the radiator as it's the highest point in the system. I'm not sure of the construction with the new style Asetek pumps. I took my previous generation H115i apart a few weeks ago due to cooling issues. I don't recommend doing this by the way. I found that the pump blade/impeller simply sits on a plastic pin. If that pin breaks, the blade will still turn and move the liquid but it will be unstable and cause a knocking sound since it's hitting the side walls of the housing of the pump. A little worrying that yours has a high pitched and ticking noises. Yes please upload a sound byte but if you've just bought this then maybe return it for a replacement.

Have you installed Icue yet? Just wondering what the sound level is like when you switch the pump from quiet to extreme.

    H115i AIO experience

Yes I could've RMA'd it but how long would I need to wait until I get the replacement. I need this pc everyday for work and if it failed completely then i'm screwed. I like fixing things anyway . I'm getting way better temps now than when it was new.
  7. First I would like to say I don't recommend doing this to their AIO. I did this at my own risk. So I've had a H115i for around 18 months and recently noticed my cpu temps were getting higher than normal. At idle it would be around 45deg C. Normally it should be around 30deg C. I checked the mounting screws on the cpu/motor block and was fine. So I removed it and reapplied the thermal paste but was the temps were abnormally high. Was reaching 80 to 90 deg C during a CineBench test. The pump was working fine in ICue and the rpm's would change if I switched from quiet to extreme. Obviously there was a restriction either in the radiator or in the cpu block. I decided to give the hoses a tap with a screwdriver and I can hear a gurgling noise and I noticed the temps (in Core Temp) went down from 45 to 30 deg c immediately. So definitely a blockage. I had two choices. Buy a new AIO or try and repair/clean the one I have. Decided to try and repair it myself. Again I did this at my own risk so I don't recommend anyone do this. I removed the AIO and carefully removed the copper plate and found a lot of build up on the inside blocking the fins on the cooling plate. The hoses also had some white residue at the connections. I had to flush the radiator out and decided to cut off the hoses to do this properly. I replaced the hoses with a clear hose. Had to modify the black cover to fit some hose clamps. After flushing and cleaning the block I refilled the AIO with some Corsair Hydro X Series XL5 Translucent Blue Premix Coolant. After reassembly and reinstallation into my pc the temps are lower than ever. At idle it's sitting at around 22 to 25 deg c. Max temp in Cinebench was around 59 deg c. I've had Corsair AIO's for years. Some lasted for 3 years or more. This one for some reason started playing up after 18 months. This isn't a criticism of Corsair. Just sharing my experience.
  8. Just got Tom Clancy's The Division. Not really a third person shooter fan but so far i'm liking it. Still at early stages of the game.
  9. Freezing here in Melbourne Australia so a little warm color change is always nice. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/gunabee/20180617_085237.jpg
  10. Here's my setup. Upgraded in February and updated again last week. Added ML rgb fans and a Cable Mod vertical Pci-e bracket. Tight fit with the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX980ti. Does not scrub the fan with less than 1mm gap. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/gunabee/20180616_085335.jpg
