  1. Update: I have been working with Corsair Support for the past month sorting out my issues and troublshooting/testing to provide them some feedback. In the end they determined that by using 2 Y-splitters for my setup, essentially adding 2 fans each to a PWM connector on the CoPro that I have potentially damaged a fan or two or three or four :P This is related to the HD120 fans on the front of the case attached to the radiators. I determined that 2 fans had bad RGB lighting which were the #3 fans of each radiator bank. Corsair support stated that adding 1 additional fan is ok, but any more than 7 fans connected to one CoPro could potentially damage fans. The positive to this is even though the damage done could be deemed user fault, Corsair made the exception and warrantied the fans anyway. The downside is the HD series fans are at end of life and they don't have any to replace my faulty fans LOL. They can offer me the LL series which for my setup would require a large chunk of money to upgrade 18 fans and/or CoPros etc. Kudos to Corsair regardless, even though the damage done could be pinned on the user they stepped up and warrantied them anyway and that's providing a great customer experience!!!!! Thanks Corsair for stepping up and thanks to Eric @CorsairTechSupport, great guy to work with and appreciate all his effort over the past month.
  2. Yeah I'll take a look at that top rear fan, might just have to buy a new one to see if that eliminates it. As far as the rad fans, all of the fans on the inner side of the rads appear to be working as expected. It seems to be the bottom 4 fans of each side having issues, or at least the the 3rd fan on each side as anything after the broken link will experience issues. I tried instant lighting and here's a couple of colors, dark green, orange, red, and teal I believe. [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame]
  3. Yep, one of those CoPros is the 1000D that comes with the case and channel 1 has the chassis lighting connected. I did go back through my setup and moved fans to different CoPros and hubs to see if it was a controller or fans and after moving things around the same fans on the front radiators showed the same results, so I made some assumptions that it was a fan issue, but again that's just speculation. I had the thought to take my extra HD120 fan and sequentially unplug each fan currently and plug the extra one in to see the results. With my swapping fan locations to CoPro/hub previously I'm not sure that will provide me anything different, but I might just to satisfy my curiosity to see what results I get. Corsair support has asked me to unplug the RGBs and replug in each fan individually to see if I can find where the broken link is. That might be what I do first to find the potential bad fan and then plug in the extra HD120. Thanks again for helping look at this Zotty, I truly appreciate your help and expertise.
  4. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's a fan problem, but if there's any @Corsair folks that could provide some guidance before I submit a ticket I would appreciate it. I went and redid my cabling and in that process I changed some cables out and essentially moved those same fans to a different CoPro and RGB Hub and the same fan/fans on the front radiator are still producing the same problem. In essence I think I've managed to cross off any potential cabling or hardware, other than the fan themselves from the equation and single it out to the fan with this reconfiguring I did. My next step would be to get an extra HD120 fan and plugging it in where the problem fan is to see if it really is a fan issue. Obviously I don't have an extra fan so hoping I can get some help determining my next steps.
  5. I recently updated my build and I'm having some synchronization issues with my RGB fans. I'm not sure if this is software, bad fans, bad controller, bad hub, or something else. Just looking for some help troubleshooting this and/or if someone has had a similar issue and how they fixed it. My issue is I have 4 fans on the front radiators that are not syncing with the other fans based on what lighting link I choose via chassis lighting in iCue. I have attached a couple of videos that show the different lighting configs I chose e.g. rainbow or static etc. The other issue I've had is the top fans (3) 140 and (1) rear 120, lag when changing colors as shown in the video. I've also experienced the last 140 fan in the top has 1 LED that will periodically go out and light up again. Not sure if that's a faulty fan or something else. Update: Swapping out the RGB hubs produced the same results. I have 20 fans currently hooked up to 3 Commander Pros and 5 RGB hubs. Commander Pro (1000D) and 2 RGB hubs with 8 fans connected Commander Pro and 2 RGB hubs with 8 fans connected Commander Pro and 1 RGB hub with 4 fans connected (3 HD140, 1 HD120) Here's my best attempt at laying out my ComPro/Hub/Fan setup. Sorry mine aren't nearly as good as Zotty's :sigh!: [ame] [/ame] The top fans lag when colors change. [ame] [/ame]
  6. I was still on iCue version 3.29.110, kind of forgot about any updates since everything was working so well. Decided to check updates 8/5/2020 which it installed 3.31.81, after restart my AX1600i doesn't show up in devices. I've done the same things you did to try and get it to work, but no luck. Going to uninstall and go back a version to see if I get a different result. If it's not broke, don't update.
  7. I have a 1000D case and have been changing around the lighting via iCue using Chassis Lighting to sync all 21 fans. I have noticed that 3 of my fans 2xHD120 and 1xHD140 will stop cycling like the others, say I have Spiral Rainbow selected in Lighting Link all the fans will light correctly and then these 3 will stop cycling. The other 18 fans work as expected but these 3 will stop cycling or I've seen at times where they will just go dark. Also one of the LEDs blinks occasionally. Not sure if this is something anyone has seen or experienced or if it might be motherboard, CoPro, iCue, or fan related causing the issue. Everything is less than a year old so I have options. I put a couple of links to clips for your viewing pleasure. https://imgur.com/hPhCVuJ https://imgur.com/uDmo74A
  8. I have had a few issues to say the least and this is one of them. I was actually able to have Performance available and completely working, but just the once. Sometimes my fans were revving really high sounding more like it was past the Corsair HD fan limit 1725 +/- 10% IIRC. After coming across this info I did just as DevBiker stated and when I rebooted Performance was available and working as expected. Thanks for that info DevBiker :):
  9. So Corsair support has asked me to disconnect all of my CoPros, restart, uninstall iCue, restart, install iCue then connect my CoPros. Have to find a hub to control at least 8 fans, 4 for each radiator to ensure cooling to CPU and GPU. I have an 8 port 3pin fan hub, molex powered that I was going to use but wanted to see if there are any issues with that considering my HD120 fans. In my experience and understanding of 3pin/4pin there shouldn't be any issues but thought I would pose the question in case there was something specific with the fans that I should consider. Thoughts?
  10. Interesting, I'll give them a shout. I've been working another issue that I find it hard to imagine I got connections crossed because I had everything labeled, but that flash error might solve it. Have to see what I find out. Thanks for the info. Thanks, I haven't had a chance to put any build pics up, but I should do that.
  11. I finally got my computer put together in the 1000D and had some quirky things go on with icue. My initial install of icue showed the devices properly Obsidian 1000D CoPro and 2 CoPros that I added (I have 21 fans in total). Had some issues getting everything synced and then noticed there was a firmware update so I updated each of the devices and that's when it happened, I now have pictures of 2 Obsidian 1000D cases and 1 image of a CoPro. Has anyone else seen this and how do I fix it? Here's a little pic
  12. I was trying to find a way to hide the eyesore of cables from my copro and 3 rgb fan hubs, I remembered I had a poster that came with the case and had an idea on how I might use it. It turned out ok, but I'm not sure if I should just cut off the Obsidian Series and just have the 1000D visible. Before: And after:
  13. So I spent several days this past week communicating via instant message with DevBiker trying to determine if I was going to buy or make my own. I finally decided to make my own with Cat6 cable since I had lots of it lol. Thanks for all the help DevBiker, the videos are great, super easy and here are the results: Couple of close-ups:
  14. I've had some instances in previous builds where I was relying solely on the tubing and fittings to hold up my pump lol. Scary thought, but that's just how I worked it out lol. I had initially planned on 16mm but when I saw the 14mm options I thought I would try something different. I've had both 12mm and 16mm in other builds so wanted to see how middle of the road looked. I also went with acrylic, I've used both acrylic and PETG and both work fine, but I think I like acrylic best mainly because of clarity and workability. I haven't decided on fluid yet, most of the time I just use distilled water, so I'll have to look at colored options to show off the glass . For pump mounting, I'm looking at some L brackets that I could drill some holes and mount the pumps to the brackets and the brackets to the HDD cage. I'm also looking at your option of mounting one on the radiator fan and the other on the side wall if I can get them to line up at the same height. That's going to be the trick, so we'll see how that works out. I'll just have to see how things go this weekend. I'm going to do some bracket shopping and my rgb fan extension cable parts will be in so I'll be trying to get my fan cables setup and if I can find brackets, hopefully decide on where the pumps will mount. I've been reluctant to post any build pics lol, I usually have high hopes on a build and it never turns out the way I want and I end up disappointed lol. Maybe this one will be different, but I'll post some pics at least.
