  1. I don't have a conventional case, it's quite difficult to pull the unit out. Can someone share a photo of where on the PSU I need to look so I can take off whatever panel it's behind rather than dismantling the whole thing?
  2. Before I take my system apart to check if mine's part of the recall, I'd like to know where I need to look. I do have the corsair link connected - is this something that I can just read from iCue somehow rather than disassembling my PC?
  3. Yep happens to me also. I'm looking for where to download the previous version at this point.
  4. Hi, I'm Phil and I work on a non-game desktop product at a large tech company. A couple of months ago in a hack week I trialled adding RGB support with iCue SDK to see how it felt - it turned out we can do some pretty cool effects and it probably adds enough to the experience that I can convince the product designers we should ship it. The problem that I have is I don't think that I can pass the security and privacy audits our application needs to pass if I load the iCue SDK DLL into my program. As a future direction if you can find a way to make a code-less interface to iCue that would be much easier for me to work with. I'm probably going to progress by adding RGB using the SteelSeries API and then write a Project Aurora plugin to make it work OK on all my Corsair gear.
  5. Yep, another person doing this. I'm only going to talk about things I don't think I've seen before. I mounted the LED strips by gluing magnets to the back of the screen: https://imgur.com/gallery/4PltYqs This means that if I find an SDK app that would work better with the light strips arranged in some other order I can just change them around. I also cut off the SATA power connector. I used a multimeter to work out which pins were connected to which wires, then wired the two ground wires and the +5V wire to an external power supply and left the +12V wire unconnected: https://imgur.com/gallery/SEHrdWi This is quite a lot less bulky than using a complete PC PSU or even using a 5V adapter with a SATA connector on it. It seems the +12V isn't necessary, at least for my setup with only 4 LED strips.
  6. Thanks for the confirmation @Zotty. For anyone else with the same problem I found the effect pretty much works after I rerouted the LED strips to go the other way around the back of the screen.
  7. I'm using a lighting node pro to give me LEDs behind my monitor, which works great when I set the lighting up manually. I'd love it to work perfectly with Wallpaper Engine as well, so that the color for the LEDs follows the color of the wallpaper at that edge of the screen. Can that be done? How? I have 4 LED strips, the first goes from bottom to top on the right side, then two go across the top from right to left, and the last one goes from top to bottom of the left side. I can't find a way in iCUE to say how they are arranged, which I guess would be needed for this kind of control.
