  1. Is your RAM overclocked? I'm currently struggling with some compatibility issues and in my research I found that you need to downclock the memory speed in order to run stable with additional RAM sticks. For example, I may be stable with 2x8 3000mhz sticks, but as soon as I add an additional 2x8 sticks, the system will fail to boot. A downclock to 2800mhz or lower may be required. I'm new at this though so take that with a large chunk of sea salt.
  2. I purchased new Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 RAM and installed it on an existing ASRock Z170 Pro4S ATX LGA1151 motherboard with an existing Intel i7-7700k processor. After enabling the XMP, I found that the system failed to boot (even with stock BIOS). The ASrock website states that the motherboard is compatible with up to 3600Mhz RAM, but I didn't know anything about the QVL list. I found that the system boots if I set the speed to 2800mhz. I also found that the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2800 has better timings but is no longer sold locally. So my questions are: should I just try to make my 3200mhz run like a 2800mhz with better timings? Does this make technical sense? Or should I just try to stick to the QVL list (which is also hard to find locally). I've never overclocked memory before. CPU and GPU I'm fine with but the 'timings' factor is new to me. 3. Lost all my profile settings even before I updated. Not sure how. Thanks, Corsair.
  4. I know that you can save the profiles onto mice, keyboards, and AIOs so that they don't have to rely on the iCue software; however, without the iCue software running, it seems that none of my peripherals work as well as if the iCue software was running. Is there supposed to be some visual/audio signal iCue gives the user once we click the 'save profile to device' button? If so, I'm not seeing or hearing anything when this button is pressed. Am I using this feature incorrectly? Thanks.
  5. That explanation makes sense, thank you. Now that you've explained why this might be happening, I actually don't mind the safety feature. But Corsair doesn't make any effort within the program to explain this "feature". I'll make your suggested adjustments. If you click that button near my username, you'll find my full build. My 1080 TI and my 7700k are both overclocked to 2Ghz and 4.8Ghz, respectively. It does get quite hot in there. Under a sustained load, my GPU runs at 70 degrees and my CPU at bout 67 degrees. My coolant temperature will reach 40 degrees after 15 minutes of Destiny 2 (the game) play. Ambient temperature is about 20 degrees.
  6. Hello, I use the H100i v2. Please see my screenshot for my curve. As you can see, I have the last point in the curve set to 62% @ 40 degrees. The fans obey my curve until the temp reaches 40 degrees, at which point, the fans go directly to 100%.
  7. Can someone explain how I can stop this from happening? I'm using a custom curve that has a 60% max fan speed at 40 degrees.
  8. I'm interested in a solution, but in all my months of searching I haven't found one. My specific issue is that when my GPU is under 99% load, the iCue software will stop responding; for example, the Dashboard will display a horizontal line and the performance tab on my H100i won't respond to fan curve changes or display the correct temperature or RPMs on the fan. The only way to fix this is by restarting the service, but the program just goes back to being unresponsive as long as my computer is under load. Saving the performance profile to the device isn't a solution for me. Can you help with this?
  9. So I made the mistake of purchasing a corsair water cooler that I have to live with now, but hopefully there's another program out there that can control the cooler's fan curve. I've gotten sick of restarting the iCue process as often as I do. Are there any out there? Thanks in advance.
  10. After a year with the H100i v2 and dealing with this program, I think I'm ready to say I regret going to Corsair route.
