  1. Damn...spoke too soon. Happened again...lol
  2. Hey, everyone. I wanted to give the issue some time since starting the thread. I have been following it though. Haven't had a flatline since the start of this week. Tried to explain it away by the fact that I've been gaming a little more and putting the curve on Quiet when I do, but that doesn't make sense because that's the usual routine whether gaming for a single or few hours. After doing anything CPU intensive, I always set my profile back to a custom one and would always (for a few weeks there) flatline. Sometimes after as little as 30 mins. These past few days? Not at all. This is an iCue mystery. I hope there's an end to it. Like @laxxity I'm worried by the flatlines. I've been lucky enough to catch them and restart iCue. What happens if I step out or away and my CPU overheats and damages itself, the cooler, or both? Hope everyone's doing well.
  3. Same. Been going through this for a few months now.
  4. Thanks for the reply. Indeed. That's the reason I'm left clueless as to why the sensors stop responding randomly. (Please don't take this as sarcasm)
  5. Hey, everybody. I'm having an issue with iCue and my h80i v2. It flatlines multiple times a day, sometimes minutes after restarting the service (occasionally I get the error message that the restart failed too). The odd thing is it doesn't happen when I'm gaming. Usually just online or watching videos and even idle. I have CoreTemp running in the taskbar at startup, but I've had them running together for a while and the issue is a recent (about a month ago) thing. I've checked the cooler for issues, unplugged the cables, and switched them to different headers. I also put the service and .exe on delayed auto-start and disabled SDK)The cooler never has temp issues, not even when I ran a stress test (Aida 64=30mins). This is my second h80i v2, the first had to be RMA'd. Any help would be appreciated. I don't have RGB lights or anything else that iCue is monitoring other than two case fans (one intake=front and exhaust=top). Could it be my custom profile isn't enough? I'll attach a pic of it and of my dashboard average temps. It gets pretty hot in my room (it's winter here and heat is on), but even then (or when gaming) the CPU temps never go above 50. I think I set the custom profile correctly but I could be wrong. Stay healthy
  6. Man, I thought I was stuck with not being able to resize iCue. The info that Toasted & MrBrayDogg offered worked like a charm. Thanks, guys. Good stuff.
  7. Hello everyone. For some reason after updating iCue to the latest version (3.34.170), I now see unknown device under "other devices". I've tried suggestions I've found in other posts but none worked. Uninstalled, unplugged, swapped USB header. Rebooted and shutdown. Disabled device in Device Manager and uninstalled it. Nada. The only Corsair device I have installed is an H80i v2. Seems to be working normally, the only difference is now it makes the connected/disconnected sound when iCue starts. It might be conflicting with my Dualshock controller though, because now when I'm gaming it temporarily stops responding. I don't have any RGB fans, so no lights malfunctioning but the fans that are installed are spinning as usual. And my Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse are working without issue too. So are the cases USB front panel slots. When I look in the properties of the unknown device, under events it tells me that the issue began occurring on 11/5 which was when I updated iCue. -11/5/2020 3:39:24pm Device deleted -11/5/2020 3:39:27pm Device configured (null) Earlier in the week I had connected a second monitor and was looking in device manager to make sure all was well with that and this issue wasn't present. Hopefully, someone has some help or advice to put my anal mind at ease. Take care all and stay Corona free.
  8. Hey Penfoldius. I was having the same issue with my h80i v2. It was crazy irritating that I couldn't figure it out either. What ended up working for me was advice that I found in an old post after googling. If it's still listing two devices, in settings restart the service along with checking the option to show only connected devices. Click on the Dark Core SE or SE (1) on the iCue home screen, and afterward click on the icon in the upper right corner which changes the view from grid to text. In my case, it changes from a fan icon to H80i v2 text. Once you see the text, double click on that to edit it. I just added "CPU Cooler" to mine. So you could put something like Dark Core SE - RGB Mouse. Not sure why that worked but thankfully it did. Hope it clears up for you. Now, I'm off to try to find a fix for a new issue (unknown device in device manager after iCue update).
  9. Thanks for the tip. Hopefully this works for me too.
  10. Thanks for the reply, C. So, I'll leave it disabled then. I found out from reading on other threads that Link has reached end of life and iCue is it's replacement. Would you recommend uninstalling the old and using the new instead? And since gaming is what I generally do should I use the quiet or balanced profile? Hopefully it's alright to use this thread to ask other questions. I don't want to create new ones for non-issues. Edit #1: Well, my impatience got the better of me and I decided to try out iCue (Yay, for boredom). I like it so far. It's cleaner than Link and more customizable. I Watched the iCue for Link Users - Fan Curves video, and figured out how those work, but can't change the pump profile to balanced (only quiet or extreme). Is extreme too much to use? While I do game, I rarely go on marathon sessions.
  11. Hello all. I've just recently re-installed the H80i v2 (after the original pump failed and was RMA'd and more recently the replacement Cooler Master Hyper T4 fan failed) and am unsure if I should disable CPU Q fan control in my Bios or set it to manual? I've read a few threads online and am finding different opinions. My MB is an Asus P8Z68-V LX (LGA1155) with an i5 2550k 3.4 (OC'd to 4.3). There aren't any issues with Link, all fans are visible. CPU Q fan control is currently disabled with chasis q enabled and set to manual. Temps are fine and stay good while under load (though it's only been a few hours). Also, I had fans installed in the front and top of my case (NZXT Source 210) for push and pull. Are they fine together with the H80i (those fans are push and pull too)? Thanks in advance for any help. Stay safe and healthy.
