  1. Hello, after trying some mechanical keyboards I was very displeased with both keys loudness and pinging (or resonation of metal base). I already tried K70 RGB Low Profile Red (it was not mine), that looks and sounds amazing, too bad it's not on my country's market yet, so I can both order it from overseas (and risk not being able to RMA it, if it'll have any defect), or choose from some other available variants. So far, this one is my absolute favorite, yet I want to be sure whether the other variants won't be as good. My first question goes for standard K70 RGB MK.2 Silent Red. I'd like to know whether there's some kind of pinging or other noise coming from both keys and metal base? There's also STRAFE version that comes with semi-metal base, thus much lower chance of pinging. Yet, I'm not sure. I watched some videos, in some there was audible pinging, while in others not. It's huge deal for me, as I don't want any unpleasant noises outside of keys themselves. Then there's another available Low Profile version, K70 RGB MK.2 RAPIDFIRE with Speed switches. About these switches, on HyperX keyboard they are not much good in my opinion - of course, they're extremely responsive, but I don't like the sound - some keys are making weird "clack" noise (little different from others). I'm worried it's the case of every keyboard featuring Speed switches, so also this low profile variant. Last question stands... Is Low Profile Red actually much louder than standard Silent Red in your opinion? I didn't find any good comparison between these two switches. All of this may help me with choosing perfect keyboard I'd be finally satisfied with. I'm actually tired of paying not so small money for something that's making unacceptable noises (out of standard sound of mechanical switches, they'll always be a bit louder). Of course, I could go for membrane, but that'd be huge step back for me now as I got used to feeling and responsiveness of mechanical keys. Thanks for all replies!
  2. Hi there! Recently I contacted Corsair RMA for a LED problem with my K70 Rapidfire keyboard, but it has been 6 days that nobody answers me about nothing! The last atualization was that my keyboard was under analysis! Help please!
  3. Hi there folks! So, my K70 recently is not showing the right LED illumination on the F8 key, so I searched web and find that some people used the Hard Reset via manual firmware installation. So, can someone tell me where I can find this firmware? I contacted Corsair Support about this problem, but they take a long time to respond =/ Thanks for your attention!
  4. I've owned this wonderful keyboard for a few months now and I didn't notice this flickering problem until a while ago. I am not sure if it's the software that I recently updated to the new iCUE program or if it's the keyboard keys malfunctioning. It is only the brightness button and the windows disabling key next to the volume slider on the keyboard. It does register the flickering on the iCUE software installed on my computer so I am not sure if it is the keys itself. The program and keyboard are updated to the newest update. A video will be posted on the link below to show an example. https://imgur.com/a/E2ZyheT
  5. Just suddenly without any notice, my number keys on the top of the keyboard stopped working. At times I see 1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-`1234567890-` repeatedly being typed randomly on textboxes. But after a spree of them being typed, all the keys just freeze from ` to the - sign. This continues to happen even if I switch my USB port. I'm not sure how to approach this problem. I've unplugged the USB into another port and even updated the software for the Utility Engine. Due to this problem, I can't even type emails efficiently as I must search, copy and paste the @ sign. Please help if you have any suggestions. NUMLOCK is not the issue.
  6. I had a spillage of coffee on my K70 I clean it up straight away and disconnected from my PC, and I left it for 24 hours to dry. But two days after that the (A) key blue LED stopped working. All other colours work but unfortunately that one blue LED doesn't, how disappointing: sigh!: Can anyone recommend a fix, please? Thanks in advance.
  7. Lately I've been trying to get used to typing on the K70 RGB Rapidfire (My first foray into mechanical keyboards) but I've been struggling with capitalization when I keep accidentally hitting caps lock when I attempt to hit left shift. Is there any way to utilize CUE to disable the caps lock key when I enable the Windows lock key or do I have to switch the assignment for caps manually?
  8. I am not a fan of the way most mechanical keyboards have raised keycaps that let so much light out from underneath them. I know it's the trend, but I prefer how my old MS Sidewinder X6 (and the Logitech G810 I just returned) manage to keep the lighting to the characters only, masking the under lighting. The way the lighting is on the K70 (and the Razer BlackWidow Chroma I alsop returned) it lets so much light around the keys that it isn't so easy (for me) to distinguish individual keys. And I personally think the underglow looks a bit messy. After looking at my new K70 RGB rapidfire, I was wondering if anyone made or sells a kind of low-density mat that would go between the keyboard chassis and the keycaps with holes for the switches, that would keep the light from escaping from underneath. I know that companies sell replacement keys but is there such a thing as a way to hide the lighting so it only comes through the tops of the keys? (aside from using a black Sharpie) Thanks in advance, Steve
  9. Hi everyone, I have been a user of the corsair k70 rapidfire for over a year now. Very happy with it, I think it's by far the best keyboard I've ever used (and I used quite a lot as a software engineer). My only complaint if I had one, would be that the wrist rest is a little small but not a big deal. Anyway, yesterday I also got a new keyboard for work. And I got the K70 Silent. I thought It wouldn't be a huge difference with the rapidfire and it will be silent, which would be more beneficial for work. It arrived this morning and returned it the same day. I ordered another rapidfire instead. I was surprised there was such a big difference between the rapidfire and the silent. One of the biggest reasons I do not like the razer keyboards is because of their matte finish on the keycaps (subjective opinion). This k70 silent had to my surprise also a matte finish on the keycaps, which I was very surprised to see, since I love the almost glossy keycaps of the rapidfire I have. But the main reason why I returned it, is the feel. The rubber dome makes it feel less satisfying, and more importantly, even though the actuation force is also 45g on the cherry mx silent, they felt slightly more harder to press and None of the keys felt smooth when pressing them down as if they were slightly grinding on a rough surface. Is this a known thing? Anyone else here who experienced both cherry mx speed and silent who can share his experience? And also how come Corsair has different keycap finishes? How come this is nowhere mentioned? I checked online videos that compare the rapidfire with the Lux cherry mx red. And you can clearly see the difference, where the Lux has the mat finish and rapidfire doesn't. Anyone knew about this? I also don't hope the new rapidfire I ordered Ends up also being with matte finish keycaps :sigh!:
  10. Hello, everyone. First-time poster here. I currently have a K70 RGB Rapidfire that I love love love so much. However, it is encountering a rather odd problem. I updated my CUE and now my keyboard and the CUE is stuck in the default profile. For some reason when I tried to download other profile with active lighting, it shows the lighting during the preview. But when I downloaded it down, the lighting scheme reverts to the default rotating Rainbow one. I checked on the actions of the downloaded profile and there's nothing in there. Meanwhile, if I use the ones with more passive lighting the keyboard just refuses to show any LED lighting at all. I've soft reset my keyboard, uninstall and clear registry, then install again repeatedly, but nothing changed. Should I try an older version of CUE? or maybe flash the firmware? I love my keyboard and its lighting scheme too much, so any help is much appreciated!
  11. Guten Abend liebe Community! :D: LG
  12. Hello everyone. I have a K70 RGB Rapidfire I'm currently setting up profiles for. I have made a Profile for Team Fortress 2 (TF2) and I have assigned the F3 and F4 buttons to switch to BLU and RED teams specifically when pressed. I have also made custom modes, one for each team, under my TF2 profile along with custom lighting for each mode. However inside CUE I can't assign both a "direct switch to mode" and an "execute keypresses" action to the same key at the same time. What I want it to do when I press F3 is to automatically press the keystroke combination of - 3 (which opens the select team window and presses 3, the shortcut to BLU) and it should also switch my mode to my "BLU" mode in the TF2 profile and the other way around (- 4, and switch to "RED" mode) when F4 is pressed. I don't get this to work as a button assigned to mode switching in any form don't agree to do anything else, at least from what I have tried so far. Do any of you guys know if this is even possible within the software?
  13. Hey, Can i use the FPS wrist rest for the K70 Rapidfire? link: http://www.corsair.com/en/corsair-vengeance-fps-wrist-rest
  14. Hello! So on Christmas my parents gave me a Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire. Now, it has been working like a charm since I got it, but today it has been glitching a lot. I managed to nail it down to the CUE (Corsair Utility Engine) When I use CUE now I sometimes only have to press once or it decides I need to press twice, and sometimes it also decides I wanted to spam the letter. Let me show you using the previous sentence: when I USECCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE nowseimssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss nyhaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetto pppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppprss onnnnnnnnce oooooooooooooooooooor it ecieeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Ineddddddddddddddddddddddddddddt pres twieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee andddddddddddddddddddddddd sometmeasdecissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiatttttttttttttttttttttttttttttd tto spmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmhe leterl.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l.l So that was a trainwreck. I didn't exaggerate it, that was me trying to type that previous sentence. I have tried: Restarting my PC (obviously) Restarting CUE Reinstalling CUE Replugging my USBs in both 2.0 and 3.0 Checking for updates I have not - Spilt any liquid on the keyboard Washed any keys Dropped the keyboard Raged at it with my hands ^or have made any damage as far as I know. As you it works perfectly without CUE on, of course the advanced lightning functions don't work but it is usable! Specs I feel are needed: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P Processor: AMD FX 8350 with Stock Cooler (Pre-Wraith) and no OC Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus (Non-RGB) OS: Windows 10 Pro Firmware version: 2.05 CUE Version: 2.8.70 Other things: I'm using a self made advanced profile, colored after my mouse, it looks like this (GIF) I have not touched my PC's USB ports since I plugged this keyboard in It's not urgent but I'd really appreciate help as I like RGB.
  15. Hello guys. Since yesterday im presenting some troubles with my K70 RGB Rapidfire. Exactly in the TAB key... the RGB LED gets stuck in a lightblue tone, the LED works and change color normally but it don´t show correctly the white color, i remove the key cap and saw a bluish tone, not pure white like the other keys. I tried everything, plug in another pc, plug in different USB port, nothing.. it seems a hardware issue or a firmware maybe?... its only in one key so far but im afraid that it will be like a virus and spread to all keyboard. I´ll appreciate any help! Thanks. PS: The problem is still present even in demo mode with my PC turned off PS2: It´s possible to do a hard reset on the keyboard or something like that? (Sorry about my english, i speak Spanish.)
  16. Hi, I am about to send a Corsair keyboard back now for the 3rd time in less than 3 months. Reason? Chattering, and alot of it. I bought a Rapidfire RGB in may 2016, it started chattering almost right away, I did not think about it that much buut in oktober I've had enouugh and contacted the dealer. They asked my to send it, and so I did. I had another "new" keyboard within 2 weeks. A week went by, and so it started again, not the same keys, and not as much, but I reported it and the dealer wanted me to send that one aswell, and I did. This time I tried to switch it up (pun not intended) and get a LUX RGB instead, with cherry reds, now I had a Corsair K95 with reds before and it had no issues what I can remember. And it has begun now aswell, alot! I really love the keyboards but it's not really worth it for me, this much issues on three boards inside one year? This is after analyzing my 2 latest boards at a 30ms setting in Switch Hitter: http://imgur.com/a/7Bcqn Thank youu for great design corsair, but I am finished with your keyboards, unfortunately. I'm sorry if there are any double or triple letters that should not be there, I've edited what I've seen.
  17. I ordered this particular keyboard from Amazon on a Black Friday sale all was good until around a few minutes ago, the mouse kept double clicking i thought the mouse had an issue until i noticed that it was not double clicking but in fact the the keyboard would press enter or something along those lines whenever i would right click on a tab i was not using on chrome it would open the new tab page as i was playing a game and had some music from youtube in the background. I then forced restart my PC and i could not even get past the HDD password screen still not sure if my keyboard was the issue my keyboard would not work at all besides the pass through and the LED's so i used a ****ty membrane keyboard i had lying around to try log in (and type this post on the corsair forums) i had my K70 still plugged in and it would keep pressing enter and i could not type in my password as it was pressing enter soo fast that me pressing a key on my other keyboard would not register also it would keep coming up with the incorrect password message on account login screen and the windows key lock would flash (as if it was being pressed quickly) (on K70). then i disconnected my K70 again to log in when i was finally logged in i opened google chrome and then plugged in my K70 it would keep typing -+-+-+/_= or whatever only typing plus', minus' dashes and forward slashes in the search bar so i disconnected to write this comment pls help
