  1. Hi, I'm stripping a DELL Poweredge r630 from CPU:s, memory etc. for a Supermicro X10DRH-I-O. This motherboard has support for 2 Intel® Xeon® processors E5-2600 v3, and 16 memory slots (gonna throw in 512GB on those). My hope is to make a system with a more comfortable noise level, preferrable in my living room. I'm gonna use it mainly for experimantal endeavours, and software development. Running virtualization using XCP-ng. The supermicro motherboard has a E-ATX formfactor. 1. Does the Obsidian 750D fit two AIO coolers with 3 fan radiators? Preferrable, two h100i pro. 2. Supermicro has an extreme latency, in answering support questions, but hopefully someone of you can answer this. Does the h100i AIO coolers need dedicated AIO connectors on the motherboard, and does this Supermicro mother board have those? 3. What sound/noise level is expected with such a configuration aprox?
  2. Hey Guys, Looking to build a couple of high end PCs in the next year or two, and to be honest I'm waiting on Corsair to announce a refresh to their full-size Obsidian, the 750D. I had heard through the grapevine some time ago that something was in the works, and I just wanted to remind you that there are people who love putting their cases on the floor. You'd have 2 immediate sales of a 750D with tempered glass the day you announce! Thanks for listening.
  3. You'll have to forgive my ignorance on this. Been a few years since I last built a PC. It's just that I don't recall a motherboard 'alignment mounting bolt' in my last PC case. Useful for aligning board but now have questions... New build is in progress with the Asus Prime Z370-A (socket 1151) ATX motherboard in the Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition. With the 'bolt' using the centre motherboard hole I cannot obviously use all 9 screws as m/b manual recommends. Is the 'bolt' (like an upturned screw) okay to leave protruding bare through centre of board? Was there another type of stand-off I should have applied to this bolt before securing board in case? Will this part of board be supported enough when I install components to the board? Probably stupid questions to ask but like I said been a while since I last installed a board. I guess I'm just checking I haven't missed something and seeing it is the case which is raising doubts... Any help/reassurance appreciated. Thanks
  4. I built a new system in an Obsidian 750D about six months ago. The 2 front facing standard speed USB ports always seemed to be a bit flaky and now they've stopped working entirely. I actually had my blue tooth dongle plugged into one for months which seemed mostly ok, and the far right port just flaked. Now both are completely unusable. If I plug in my USB dongle to one of them the light on the dongle does work, but only to about 1/3 intensity. The system does not acknowledge anything connected though. There are no devices in the device manager with exclamation marks. I've updated all the drivers for Windows 10 and the MSI motherboard. I've checked the internal connections and don't see any obvious issues. The other USB ports all work fine. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  5. Added two 14 inch RGB strips to the dust filter on the front of my Obsidian 750D airflow edition case, and the RGB strips have an interesting stroboscopic effect on the fans. [ame= ] [/ame] Here are some build images:
