  2. Why would I not be able to use the K95 Platinum XT? I have searched around seeing if there is a solution to get it working and I can't seem to find anything, I've tried the F1 and Windows Lock Key, and the S and B combinations, to enter a "BIOS Mode" with no success. Though why the hell should I need to enter a BIOS mode to use a keyboard for it's most basic function in BIOS? Even when I get into the BIOS using another keyboard, it still never detects, even though the USB passthrough works perfectly fine for my mouse. I have the keyboard plugged directly into my Motherboard and have tried both 2.0 and 3.0 ports, even making sure only the Keyboard USB is the only part plugged in. All with no success in entering BIOS with the Keyboard. I have the latest firmware version 4.22.30 installed. I have an older K95 Platinum that works perfectly fine to enter BIOS and BIOS options but, would rather not have to use it as it is old and falling apart at this point. I do not see why a $200 dollar keyboard can't even do the most basic functions of being a keyboard? I happen to go into BIOS often to make changes to RAM Overclocking and booting into other OS'. It just doesn't make sense as to why it would not work or require a BIOS mode in order to use a basic standard that has been in use for at least 20 years and was available on their older Keyboards. I have also sent a corsair support request and am waiting for a reply on that. I figured I would try getting troubleshooting support in the Corsair forums as well to see if anyone else has found a fix for this. Very sorry for any rant, just frustrated.
  3. So, Im fairly savy with the icue system and just rebuilt a new system entirely based around corsair minus the naga pro. So I have a 850x psu with 16 LL 120's inside a 5000d case, double Lian Li strimers, 4x rgb ram, h150 cappelix and even an argb gpu support bracket for show and go. I just 86'd by black widow ultimate from 2014 and went with this beautiful and quiet k95 platinum xt. lighting and performance isn't the issue. I have 2 monitors and I like to have icue in the foreground in dashboard mode to see all my temps, voltages and fan speeds - does the same thing core temp and hw monitor do basically but less cumbersome and it looks cool. Problem is macros or even changing keystrokes on this keyboard, they work flawlessly if and only if the k95 is open on icue in the foreground and it has to be in the actions setting. If any other selection is selected or device, or in if I'm in dashboard mode or if I have icue minimized to the tray the macros/keystrokes are delayed by a couple seconds. This is driving me nuts. I play wow and diablo 3. I'm trying to get that g1 button to be a simple auto run toggle. I've even cleared the keystroke change I made and assigned that function in game to the G1 key and the same thing, only works if icue is open in actions on k95. Ill attach a ss. Hopefully its something stupid. My in game keybind for autorun is ] as you can tell in the ss. I thank anyone in advance for their time. So far I'm loving this keyboard just need to figure this nonsense out. I also just realized I had the blackwidow ultimate still set and active in synapse 2.0 on my system so I deleted that as well to no avail. i7 10700k @ 4.8ghz Asus z490 Prime-a corsair 5000d case 32 gb pc 3600 corsair rgb vengeance pro 2x light enhancement modules 16 LL 120's h150i elite cappelix gtx 970 gpu Windows 10 Wd sn750 nvme 1 tb Evo 970 plus nvme 1tb
  4. Hello Corsair forum users, I was wondering if somebody knows if there is a bad batch of coilwhine boards. I'm currently using a G413 Carbon red/black which i won with a Facebook post, but now i would like to get an RGB keyboard. So i was looking around for a keyboard that has nice RGB LED's and looks awsome and is build decent. The board has to be from aluminum and the keys has to be PBT instead of ABS, or there must be an upgrade available for the PBT keycaps. So i first went for the Huntsman Elite, and after connecting it to my computer, i noticed a massive coilwhine sound. At the end i tried 3 units and all of them had coilwhine... I had to look for something different. So i noticed the Corsair K95 Platinum XT, perfect i thought. The looks are great and its solid. So i bought the board and the first thing i did noticed after i plugged it in to my computer, was the coilwhine... This time the coilwhine is less then the Huntsman one, but still audible and that annoys me. After trying 3 units of coilwhine boards i was done... I tried the old K95 version so not the XT version, and guess what... it has audible coilwhine... I quit my mission for looking for a decent keyboard, because i dont think there is any decent keyboard without coilwhine and with PBT keycaps at this moment. So my question is, is there a bad batch of coilwhine units? What i did discovered was, the coilwhine is audible on a different way with different colors. I tried different PC's and laptops to check if it was a fault of my computer, but that was not the case. Everytime the LED's were turned on, it was audible on every device. I bought the keyboard from different vendors and even a replace from Corsair. I dont like the fact that there is no keyboard at this moment that has PBT keycaps with RGB and no coilwhine :[pouts:
