  1. Hey guys, I hope I didnt post it somewhere that's just for technical errors and issues cause that's not my thing. I just recently made a purchase for the K70 RGB Mk.2 and the ironclaw wireless and I have some questions for these 2 that I couldn't really find answered while browsing. Keep in mind that I haven't received them yet. Here they are : 1. I chose the Ironclaw wireless instead of just the normal one mostly because of design(sounds stupid maybe to some but yeah.) That said I'd like to ensure that I ll be able to use it while wired in without any issues. 2. If No.1 is a yes, will the batteries life time get ruined if I just keep it plugged in? 3. Will it be easy to just swap it from plugged in to its wireless mode(Mostly talking about slipstream. Not that much for bluetooth.) 4. Will it be possible to create macros for the keyboard? 5. The keyboard has a USB port on it's back. Will I have any delays if I decide to connect my mouse there or will it be just if I'd have put it in a USB 3 port on my pc? Thanks for your time and once again, sorry if this ain't the place for these type of questions. I just couldn't find any other.
  2. Hello guys, I decided to register here because I did a quick google search as well as read the sticky on here, But couldn't really find a direct answer and thought I'd have better luck here. So I just bought my Corsair K70 RGB Mk.2 on September 8th (Delivered on the 18th) I loved it from the very beginning. I was playing Borderlands 2 and some other games with no issue, However, I decided to get back on R6 Siege and noticed the keyboard has some crazy lag on it, you can tell as soon as I turn on the game, The RGB lights begin to lag, instead of going through the "Wave" setting smooth, it freezes, etc. etc. that's not a problem I guess, But then I begin to play a match and my character is magically walking on its own. I lose control over the keyboard for a couple of seconds, Then back to normal, only for it to happen again. I close iCue and it still does it. Is this a well known problem or did I get a defective keyboard? What are some things I can do to try to fix this? Edit: So I deleted all the profiles and left only 1, uninstalled iCUE and it seemed to be working fine, then it did it again, same issue. Was walking around on Siege and then I lost control of it, character was walking forward on its own.
  3. Hey there! I'd like to preface my post by saying that I'm not incredibly tech-savvy, due to a lack of exposure (particularly to computers) earlier in my life. With that out of the way: I purchased a K70 RGB MK 2 a few months ago, around August 2019 for a PC that I built that same month. It's been working great, however, a few days ago (January 16, 2019) I decided to download iCUE finally for my mouse and keyboard. Now, I'm not sure if I messed something up during install, or when I was trying to learn some basic stuff on my own, but I've hit a bit of a problem: Mainly, I can't actually use the profile switch key on my keyboard anymore. While this isn't a total loss, I am a bit anal about it and want to figure it out. On further inspection, I noticed two things: First, when I close out of the iCUE software tab, it automatically resets my keyboard setting back to the "Default" profile (which I presume was created when I started up the software). I also noticed that before the software actually turns on (the first few seconds after starting up, for instance), I can hit the profile switch button, however, some keys are differently colored than when I access the profiles directly through iCUE. I'm not terribly, terribly concerned about it, as my keyboard and mouse are working just fine, but I'm still a touch cautious, as I tend to mess up tech things when I'm not careful. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Hello all. I received this keyboard as a gift recently for my birthday and i have had it from the time of making this post for no more than 3 days, and in those 3 days i have had more issues with this keyboard than i ever have with my K66 (never had one by the way). I did some minor research and it seems like this keyboard is prone to issues and some people have even had the same problems that i am having currently. To begin with when i received this keyboard and first plugged it in to my USB 3.0 port on my pc is gave me the following error (https://gyazo.com/cfd531c488acb7dd5de6a0e38bace320). This was my first issue however this seems to have dissipated by itself (not 100% sure). After hopefully solving this issue my next issue is that whenever i plug the keyboard into multiple ports being 2.0 and 3.0 it does 1 of 2 things every time. The first option it does it light up, the RGB turns on and copys the default rainbow spiral pattern that it comes with for about 3 seconds and then stops and freezes on whatever the pattern was on, the keyboard then looses all functionality in typing and media keys, everything is frozen. I then get a red exclamation point encased inside a red triangle as well in the iCUE software on the bottom right hand corner of the keyboard logo. The second option is that whenever i plug it into the port it does nothing, it does not light up, does not function, nothing. It's like no power is going to it. (Sometimes the profile and brightness keys light up) but that is about it for the second option. I can sometimes get it to work for about a minute to two minutes but then it reverts back to option one and completely freezes on me. I've searched vigorously across Youtube, Corsair forums and the internet. Every solution or recommendation people have said i have done, changed my USB Media settings to false, re installed the iCUE software updated everything on my computer and nothing still works. The only thing that gets me close to it being fixed is uninstalling the iCUE software which makes me thing its either something to do with the driver that the software is installing to my pc or its the keyboard drivers itself, i could be wrong i am no expert. When i have the software uninstalled the keyboard works for 3/4 minutes then reverts back to the option one i stated earlier. I have contacted the support and made a ticket and they told me to do the following: Please follow the directions below: 1: Unplug your keyboard from the computer. 2: Locate the small pinhole underneath your keyboard. For some, this will be located near the polling rate switch by the cable. On others, it will be located underneath on the tilt legs on the bottom of the keyboard. 3: Using a small paperclip or push-pin, press down on the button inside the pinhole. 4: Plug your mouse back into the computer, while holding down the pinhole button. 5: Once it is plugged back in, your computer should recognize a drive called CRP_Disabled. Please open this. 6: Download the firmware file from the ticket. If it is compressed into a .RAR file, please extract this file to an easily found location on the computer. 7: Delete the file FIRMWARE.BIN from the CRP_DISABLED drive, and then place the file with ISP in it’s name to the CRP_Disabled drive. 8: Once you have performed the steps above, please unplug your keyboard and then plug it back in. The device will then return to normal. Please test to see if the issue reappears. If it does, please inform us on the ticket for further troubleshooting. I have followed this step by step but whenever i plug the keyboard into my PC there is no pop up what so ever that comes up with the CRP_DISABLED drive. So i can not test or try this solution. If anybody knows a way i could navigate to it manually i would appreciate it. Now corsair support being what it is i really do not have the time or patience to wait 3 days at a time for a small reply. I paid $100 for this keyboard and i would like to return it if i can not get a fix so as you can imagine my time in returning it is running out. I really don't want to send it back as i love this keyboard and corsair is defiantly one of my favourite keyboard producers however i do not want a dysfunctional keyboard so if anybody has any suggestions at all id be forever grateful. Thanks for reading, Trikz.
  5. Maybe I've missed it completely, but I can't seem to find a SIMPLE guide for how to set a custom profile for this K70 RGB MK.2 keyboard I just purchased. I've been screwing around with the iCUE software for an hour now and I just can't figure it out. All I want to do is have certain keys lit up at certain times. For example: when I'm playing a game, I want to be able to set up my keyboard so that the only keys that are backlit are the ones that are mapped in a game (like WASD). I don't want or need any crazy animated lighting effects or anything like that. I'd just like to know how to do the basics.
  6. Here's what I know about each keyboard K70: -lower price -more switch choices -rgb logo K95: -light bar -only 2 switch choices -macro keys -better look Please tell me which one I should get because I am seriously considering buying one or the other because they are the two best choices for me.
