  1. Hey guys! So, just to write it fast, I've got a new Corsair K30 keyboard, I bought it like 1-2 weeks ago, it was working without any problems, but for some reason, after I woke up today and turned my PC on, the keyboard didn't light up,(the keys always turn red when I'm starting up my PC) and then, after a while I noticed, that the Scroll, NUM-Lock and Shift Led's on the corner in the right were blinking/flashing, I tried to turn off CSM Legacy in my Bios, I tried to reset my Bios to it's default options, none of them helped me. I heard that the blinkings/flashing means, that the keyboard is in the Bios mode, but I have the K30, not the K70, because on the K70 version, I heard that there is a switch key for that. So, the flashing is not a big deal, but as I said, the keyboard won't light up anymore, no Led lights on my keys etc. and only some of the keys are working, keys like the Start button, or U,I,O etc. won't even work. My question is, does anyone have an idea how to solve/fix this problem? Would be nice! Because I don't want to make all the work and wait like 1-2 weeks until I send them back the keyboard etc. ;/ Sorry for bad english, I'm a German  Thanks in advance guys! ;)
  2. it took me 4 games to realise what was happening, and while I can still press some of the keys as I always could, but the E key will not work when pressed along with any other key all of a sudden.
  3. :mad:Do all Corsair keyboards have this notch? I tried changing my K30's keyboard layout from QWERTY to DVORAK a couple years ago, and just again tried last night forgetting I had already tried, and I can't because the F and J keys and the slot they go in have a notch on them that none of the other keys have which causes them to stick in any other slot... I really don't see the point in this notch, it serves absolutely no purpose, otherwise all the keys would have it... So hopefully it's not present on all of them.
  4. Hello I'm making a thread about keybinds and how I can bind multiple keys to a macro key but is too long to type. I've been working on a mod in a game and I've been heavily using pasted text that is usually long to type. Since I have one a corsair keyboard with macro keys, I thought that I could bind the long string of text to a single key but the thing is, it won't let me. The only way I can bind the text to a key is by typing it out which would eat a lot of my time and errors when recording the keystrokes would be a nightmare to fix especially since the list of keystrokes goes back up whenever you make a change to it. I was wondering if possible, I could bind the text in a much more shorter way. I'm also kind of tried to open up notepad++ every single time to copy and paste different strings of text that I use. Thanks in advance if anyone helps me. (I was also thinking of using autohotkey but that would be more of a pain to set up imo). I attached something that I would be modifying.
  5. I've had my Raptor K30 keyboard since 28 August 2014, and it's behaved strangely since day one. I haven't been able to find the issue in an existing thread on this forum, and would love to know whether anyone else can replicate the problem and/or offer a fix. The problem is that when I hit certain letter pairs with the shift button down, the second letter comes up as lower case. It's been a particular niggle for me as I do contract work for The Open University, and find myself using the abbreviation "OU" a lot. When I hold down left-shift and hit O then U in quick succession, I get "Ou". (Curiously, though not helpfully, that particular letter-pair works fine when using right-shift.) I've just spent some time trying every possible combination of letter pairs (see bottom of this post) and identified these pairs as the troublesome ones: LEFT-shift fails to make second letter uppercase with OU, OI, OP, PO. RIGHT-shift fails to make second letter uppercase with: QX, XW, XR, XT*, XA, XS, XD, XF. * Weirdly, the XT pair actually gives Xt half the time, and XX the other half! Freaky. Software is "Corsair K30 Gaming Keyboard Driver V1.0", which I've today downloaded fresh and reinstalled. I have only one keyboard profile. The problem occurs in in both hardware mode and software mode. It seems others have experienced this too. ( http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=392478 ) Like them, I find the weirdness doesn't happen if... I... type... really... slowly. I can rule out inconsistent pressing of the shift key, because to save time when typing out the stuff below, I weighted the shift key to free up my hands for doing the letter pairs. I'm no expert, but this smacks of a software issue rather than physical defect or hardware design flaw. From the link given above, it's obvious the problem isn't unique to me, but it might help me diagnose it if anyone reading this *fails* to replicate it. All ideas and suggestions (apart from macro workarounds :(: or relearning to type ) very welcome. Thanks for reading. 6. Hi everyone, After a decade with a Mac, I'm returning to Windows. I've got everything set up, and working perfectly, apart from my Corsair keyboard. It's a K30, and for some reason, the Windows lock key doesn't work. Neither do any of the numbers on the keypad. I've tried to contact Corsair directly about this so I went onto Corsair's website. I'm in England, and they have an 0800 number. I called it - and it's a wrong number. It's actually a digit too long for a UK 0800 number anyway. So - I tried to set up an account on their technical support page. I entered a password, as it was rejected as not being complex enough. The thing is - it was. It was between 8 and 20 characters long, contained a mixture of lowercase and uppercase characters, and a special character.:mad: So - the main thing I'm after is a solution. It's just disappointing I guess that such a pricy brand has such poor technical support. Getting the phone number wrong, on a website, it's frankly unbelievable. Anyway - does anyone on here have any idea how to fix my two keyboard woes?
