About Me

Optical Drive # 1

  2. Hey everyone, I recently purchased a refurbished Corsair AX1200i. Everything works fine but, unfortunately, it did not come with a Corsair Link cable which is the primary reason I purchased it in the first place (instead of just purchasing a new PSU). Is it possible for me to purchase a link cable from somewhere or is Corsair able to send me one? I live in Australia and I sent in a support ticket but its been over a week with no response. I still have my RM750i with all cables and accessories (including the two link cables that came with it) but the RMi has a miniUSB port with an optional analogue port. The AXi only has a analogue port for Corsair Link which the RMi analogue cable cannot directly connect to the internal USB header through. I understand this is what I need but have no way of purchasing it even if it was in stock: AX 1200i/860i/760i USB to i2C adapter (corsair.com) This is my first time posting to the forums so please let me know if there are any issues or require more information.
  3. I got a brand new AX860i and had not used or tested the usb info feature at the time because I was missing headers. I have tested it now and the temperature readings are just impossible. Fixed at -198.5°C/-325.3°F. Tried changing internal usb connection and installing both icue and corsair link. No success. I have efficiency readings and control of the fan. Only temperature seem not to work. Ideas anyone?
  4. Hi folks, Recently purchased a used AX1200i without the original usb-i2C adapter (dongle) https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/PC-Components/Power-Supplies/AX-1200i-860i-760i-USB-to-i2C-adapter/p/CP-8920019 and unfortunately, Corsair support claimed the 1200i, quoted, 'has turned into a discontinued product and due to this reason, some spare parts are not for sell any more', and asked me to look on ebay, which I have no luck finding one. My question, if the dongle is intended to act as an Analog-digital convertor, will the 'CORSAIR Link Analog to Digital Bridge Cable for RM Series' work for the AX1200i through the comm port? https://www.corsair.com/ca/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/PC-Components/Power-Supplies/CORSAIR-Link-Analog-to-Digital-Bridge-Cable-for-RM-Series%E2%84%A2-PSU/p/CP-8920119#tab-faqs Many thanks. Felix
  5. Hi guys, do you know when corsair will do the audio sync with corsair link?
  7. I have a new Pc with 2 Corsair 120 pro(red) fan and one Corsair 140 pro(red) fan and the Corsair Icue dosent show them and i don't understand to configurate them with Corsair link so if anyone could explain Corsair Link to me or has any idea why Corsair Icue dosn't show/find them (all fan run and light in red) is welcome to share his/her idea to help me. have a nice day or night depending when you read this.
  8. Hi, I recently bought a Corsair h115i cooling. Download the iCue software and it does not work properly. I tried downloading Corsair Link and it worked fine for a few weeks. And now it works badly, when turning on the PC the fans go to more than 2000 RPM. It goes with a temperature of 45 or less and the LED turns red. Another thing, sometimes while playing goes crazy and speed up to the maximum. Without having very high temperatures. I hope you can help me and I apologize for my bad English, I'm from Argentina. Greetings to all!
  9. Hello, I'm seeming to have some troubles with how to route my wires with my corsair products and make them all link together in corsair I-Cue/Corsair Link. As you can see from the title I have 4 HD 120 fans, a corsair h100i and an RGB strip that comes with the corsair carbide spec omega RGB case. I also have a corsair commander pro and 1 fan hub and 1 lighting node pro. I'm confused on how I would route this successfully, my ideal situation is where I have control over the 4 HD120 fans and I am able to link up all of my RGB. My proposed idea: All of the HD120's have one 3 pin connector going into the fan hub and one going into the fan area of the commander pro, this 'should' give me control over both fan speed and RGB. I also think that I should plug my corsair ML120's that come with my cooler into the H100i pump and that pump should go into the USB section of my commander pro. Then I can plug my RGB strip from my case into the LED section of my commander pro. Then finally I can plug in my fan hub into the LED section of my commander pro. After that, I think that I can plug my commander pro into a USB header on my motherboard. Tell me if I did anything wrong in my planning, I don't fully understand the commander pro. I think that I will have an extra lighting node pro if I go this way.
  10. I have 3 monitors configured as one 5760 x 1080 workspace with NVIDIA surround for gaming and a 4th monitor above them. I open Corsair Link software on my main 3-monitor workspace and can't move it to the 4th monitor. I can drag it there, but it snaps back when I release the mouse. All other software I use will stay on the 4th monitor. I had hoped to watch temps on Corsair Link while I was gaming. Am I missing something?
  11. Since updating to the latest after a couple days of using it all of a sudden none of my devices, system specs or sensors are showing up meaning I cannot control my H115i or my RAM lighting. I've tried rolling back but it doesn't matter what version I install it still shows nothing
  12. Hello everybody! I'd like to ask some questions about iCue, I think there is a lots of similar topics but I couldn't find exact answers or solutions. I was a very pleased user of h100i v2 until i had to change corsair link for icue (I had to do it when i bought corsair rgb mouse, keyboard and headset). Basically I have problem with freezing dashboard (which affecting fan speed freezes). Today I uninstalled icue and tried to run on corsair link software and everything was fine (no dashboard and fan freezes). In my opinion the idea of icue is great but link still have some advantages (for example: saving settings as device's default) Does anyone have/had a same problem or know how to fix it? Second thing is: I'm looking to buy a graphics card. I thought about Evga 1080 FTW Hybrid but I read there is lots of conflicts between iCue and Evga software. If anyone has any experience with pairing Evga RGB graphics with corsair link devices I'd be very grateful for answer - is it going to work or not.
  13. Hey Guys, I have 5 Corsair LL fans plug into the Fan Hub, which is connected to the Node which has 3 LED strips. I've had it about a year now (figures) Running on ICue latest version. started on link but then Icue came out.. Anyways about the 6 month mark I noticed 2 out of the 5 fans had stopped lighting up, fans 4 & 5. uninstalled Icue reinstalled Icue changed the node channels to no effect. after that I thought well maybe dead fan leds so I connected fans 4 & 5 to known working plugs 1-3 and all fans lit, but ports 4,5, and 6 did not work. emailed corsair no action taken by them(maybe I got an email back that I reply to then never heard from them again :dunno: ). I gave up who cares just lights, anyways flash to Meow, Meow only fan one is lit and ports 2-6 are dead. Led strips still going strong, corsair rgb aio still lit. Any ideas? should I just buy a new hub or has some one figured this out? Icue lights.zip
  14. Hello everyone this is my first post here, i just ordered the cooler H115i PRO RGB and i want to know if there's a way to keep my settings after unistalling the software. Thanks in advance for any help you're able to provide.
  15. I have recently built a new computer, I purchased two HD-120 three packs, and a commander pro. So here's the issue; I have all six of the fans powered by the CP and the LEDs of course plugged into the lighting controller hub(which is connected to the CP LED 1 port), but only one fan is actually lighting. All of the fans are running. All Fans LEDs work when I try them in port one on the hub. All fans show up in link and yes I've added them with the "+" button in Link. Here is what I've tried to resolve the issue: -Moving the LED connections around (I've tried every order) -Moving the LED hub to port 2 on the CP -Tried different LED hubs since the case I have came with one, and each 3-pack of fans came with one. I also purchased another one directly from corsair. (total of 4) -Uninstalling and reinstalling Corsair Link -Downgrading the CP firmware -Re upgrading the CP firmware -Multiple restarts both cold on/off and normal restart -I returned and got a new Commander Pro ALL of these did not work, I end up with the same result each time, only port 1 on the hub seems to light the fans, and like I said before all of the LEDs on the fans work when plugged into port 1. I've scoured the internet and these forums looking for an answer and I've come across people with the same issue but it's never resolved. I'm no IT pro but this isn't my first build, it seems to me like the CP is "bricking" the LED hubs if that's even possible? Any suggestions would help! I attached a snip of the Link software showing all my fans added and CP firmware.
  16. Hi all, So I've had this PC for about 2 years now and during the past year, the water cooling fans have become increasingly louder for no apparent reason. I don't need to be running any intensive applications such as games for this to occur, it happens from simply turning on the PC and leaving it idle. Here's a screenshot of everything I see in Corsair Link: https://i.imgur.com/y3GJxiH.png The profile is also configured to be Quiet although it is far from it... I used to be able to run it at Performance without this issue occurring although through time it's become impossible to do so without hearing a jet engine throughout my entire apartment :sigh!: Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and if I need to replace this thing I would happily do so at this point
  17. I bought 2 packs of the LL120 3 packs installed them and when I started the PC all 6 fans spun up and was all illuminated, since corsair link wasn't open yet it was going through its standard demo settings. After I opened updated and restarted the PC Corsair Link sees the Lighting Node Pro, but only 5 out of 6 fans light up. Multiple restarts, uninstalls and installs, Aura sync uninstalled. I Swapped out the Hub, the lighting Node pro etc. Nothing seems to work. I did however tested the 6th fan on a spare hub and put it on the second connector and it lights up just fine. But I don't want to do that because it wont sync up with the other 5. It seems like its a limitation for the LL fans. But they all work before the link software is loaded. I just know that its super annoying that 5 out of 6 out of these bad boys are able to work. Any help is appreciated
  18. I have 3 LL120 fans connected to a lighting node pro/six way lighting hub. The LED controller, hub, 1 HDD and 1 SSD are all connected via the same SATA daisy chain cable to my power supply. The lights worked fine until a power surge (Yes I know I should get a surge protector). The lighting node is no longer visible in Corsair link, and the lights no longer come on, but the fans themselves still spin up fine. The fans are connected directly to various fan headers on the motherboard. The HDD and SSD work fine. Here's what I've tried so far: * putting the PSU SATA connector into a different slot on the power supply * putting the fan LED headers into different ports on the lighting hub (from 1, 2, 3 to 4, 5, and 6) * plugging the lighting hub into the channel 2 slot on the lighting node pro. * unplugging and replugging the SATA connectors on the hub and lighting node Is there anything I can do to get the fans working again, preferably at the lowest cost? FIXED I fixed the issue. I pried open the lighting node pro and found a button that fixes the issue when pressed while nothing is connected to the LNP. There's actually an access hole on the case that you can insert a paper clip into to push the button, but I didn't notice until I put the case back together. I have zero electronics knowledge, but I think the button drains the capacitors which prevent it from fully turning on after suddenly losing power. A similar thing happens to motherboards after a power outage. We lost power again a few days ago and repeating the process fixed the issue again.
  19. Hello All, I wasn't sure if I should put this in the cooling category, but since my question is Link related I figured I'd post here. If the moderators feel the need to move this post to the appropriate category, please do so. I'm currently in the process of procuring all the components for my new build. I'll be installing a H115i for CPU cooling (which I'm replacing the stock fans with a pair of ML140 Pro RGBs) and will also be incorporating a Commander Pro (with fan splitter) for the rest of my case fans (2x ML140 Pro RGB front intake, 1x ML120 Pro RGB bottom intake and 1x ML140 Pro RGB rear exhaust). My question is, should I connect H115i pump to the CPU Fan header on my MB (ASRock Z270 Taichi) or should I connect it to the Commander Pro? I assume that I'll receive some sort of CPU fan warning upon boot if I don't connect it to the CPU fan header, but is there any advantage/disadvantage by connecting it to the Commander Pro? Will it matter to Corsair Link? I'd rather control my fan/pump speeds, etc... via Link as opposed to the BIOS. Will it matter depending on which way I go to connect? The other related question I have is should I still connect the H115i fans directly to the pump, or should I also connect those to the Commander Pro? I thank you all in advance for any advice you can offer!
  20. Zotty's RGB superthread has been moved to the iCUE Software section. Link: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=173880
  21. I was a big fool an removed the corsair link usb dongle driver and now i get an error about a "USB Device Not Recognized" How do i fix that?? The only Corsair device i have atm is the AX860i and i have installed the latest Corsair Link + iCUE
  22. Hi, so I built my PC a while ago and bought some fancy LL120 fans for intake. I actually used an Arduino for them and wanted to use the LNP that came with them for my SP120 fans which were included in my x460 case. I´ve heard that the fans shipped with this case may won´t work with the LNP and I wanted to ask, if anyone knows how to fix this problem. I´ve allready tried to update the firmware through iCue but that hasn´t worked for some reason. To me it looks like the LNP is the problem because when I unplug its power, the flickering ends. I think the LNP is refreshing the LED information really often and some of the ticks are corrupted or something like that. I would appreciate any help. Regards, MrInfinity
  23. Hey everyone, i just got my hands on the Corsair Vengeance RGB Dram. Package of 4x8gb 3000mhz. Motherboard is the Rampage V Extreme. I have downloaded the latest Corsair Link (v4.7.0.77) but i cant change any colour or modes. I am stuck with the default rainbow kind of something which i dont like. Does anyone knows something? (i also checked at corsair site and somewhere i read one answer by corsair saying ''Some motherboard vendors have a feature called “SPD Write” disabled by default, this feature will need to be set to enabled in order for CORSAIR LINK™ to control Vengeance RGB.'' ) If anyone had the same issue pls help.
  24. I will be building a new setup on a Maximus VIII Hero Alpha with an overclocked i7-6700k cooled with an H100i v2. The thing is that I do not intend to use Corsair Link. What is the optimal setup for this? The motherboard has three separate 4-pin headers labeled "W_PUMP", "CPU_FAN", and "CPU_OPT". The way I see it I have two options: I could connect the pump's power cable to W_PUMP and then the radiator's two 120mms to CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT. I could connect the pump's power cable to CPU_FAN and then connect the radiator's two 120mms to the pump. The H100i v2 manual says to go with option 2, but remember I will not be using Corsair Link for anything other than changing the LEDs. After that it will be uninstalled. Would this still give me optimal performance if I do not wish to manually control the fans, or would option 1 be better? What exactly would the differences be, performance wise, between these two options? After uninstalling Corsair Link, the RGB LED stays put. Is there a particular preset I should choose, and would that stay put too after uninstalling? If nothing is changed except the RGB LED, would the H100i v2 just perform at its default preset? And will this remain after uninstalling Corsair Link? Is the default preset any good? I don't want my system to be noisy, but I also plan on overclocking a little.
  25. So I'm planning a long awaited computer build that I've been saving up for for about 9 months and I have a dilemma, most of the stuff for the computer with RGB lighting will be from corsair but there are some things that will be from Asus or controlled by Asus aura like the motherboard, GPU, and possibly the case and CPU water block. There will be a part list at the bottom of the post. So the question that I have is with Asus releasing there Aura SDK will corsair LINK be able to control Asus aura lighting hardware now or in the future in the same way that corsair LINK can control MSI hardware? I ask as I only want one lighting controller and I think that corsair has the most customizable system and will allow me to sync all the lighting like demonstrated in this video: [ame] [/ame] hoping the link will works this time... intended part list; PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Threadripper 1900X 3.8GHz 8-Core Processor ($524.99 @ SuperBiiz) Motherboard: Asus - ROG ZENITH EXTREME EATX TR4 Motherboard ($517.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance RGB 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($729.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung - 960 PRO 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($289.88 @ OutletPC) Storage: Seagate - BarraCuda Pro 10TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (X2) ($399.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB POSEIDON Video Card (2-Way SLI) Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB POSEIDON Video Card (2-Way SLI) Case: Cooler Master - COSMOS C700P ATX Full Tower Case ($290.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: Corsair - AX1500i 1500W 80+ Titanium Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($389.99 @ Amazon) Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit ($111.00 @ Amazon) Case Fan: Corsair - LL140 RGB LED 51.5 CFM 140mm Fan (X6) ($39.99 @ Amazon) Keyboard: Corsair - K95 RGB PLATINUM Wired Gaming Keyboard ($169.99 @ Amazon) Other: Corsair Fan Controller Commander Pro (CL-9011110-WW) ($64.60 @ Amazon) Total: $4129.34 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-10-29 20:57 EDT-0400 Note that this system will be liquid cooled and will serve many simultaneous rules at once, and yes I know what I'm doing...
