  1. Hi, on the RM650i what is the AWG of the wire on the: 1. PCI-e 2. 12v ATX/EPS 3. 24-Pin ATX Many thanks Cheers
  2. Hi, Quick question. Looking at the two following 16GB kits (8GBx2). CML16GX3M2A1600C9 1.5v 9-9-9-24 2T DDR3-1600 CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 1.5v 9-9-9-24 2T DDR3-1600 Is the CML the Low Profile variety whereas the CMZ has high heatsinks attached. Is that correct please? Any other difference? How much taller are the CMZ modules please? I currently have CML8GX3M2A1600C9 (4GBx2) and wanted to upgrade. Cheers
  3. I think what he means is testing the psu by way of using a voltmeter. Not very difficult to do. Lots of videos on YouTube. Just go for a cheap digital one. In short, disconnect all HW from psu with the exception of a fan (plugged into a molex to give psu some resistance), then test all the voltages. Shouldn't take long. Good Luck
  4. Most kind. A final question. From what you say, if I dual boot Linux & Win 7 and change the 12v rail to single rail operation in the Win 7 partition via the LINK software, then reboot to Linux partition then the 12 v single rail mode will still operate (in Linux partition), correct? Cheers
  5. I am sure that the mods will also have a look at your thread tomorrow but in the interim http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/2014/may/setting-up-ocp-on-the-ax1500i Third para. OCP, Over Current Protection. Safety feature. Unless you are o/cing you system then I would have it enabled on all connectors. The current level used for OCP should be referenced with your psu. Good Luck
  6. Hi, Ordered this unit a couple of days ago and have a quick question re the 12 volt rail. The specs to the RM650i state that this unit can be run 'either in single 12v Rail Mode or Multi 12v Rail Mode' (as per tech specs in link below). http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/rmi-series-rm650i-650-watt-80-plus-gold-certified-fully-modular-psu The following page states that 'multiple +12v Rail is set by Default but is Switchable to Single +12v Rail using Link software'. http://www.corsair.com/en-ww/blog/2015/june/rm-rmi-hxi Question: If using the Corsair Link utility to set the psu to single rail mode, is this a permanent change? or is it set via software. By that I mean, if I set the unit to single rail 12v through the Link utility and then uninstall 'Link', will the psu remember the 12v single rail setting. I hope that I have explained this clearly. Many thanks for any help provided Cheers
