The dead PSU is a Corsair PSU RM450 80 PLUS Gold. Purchased 2014. The link mentioned doesn´t help me. since I don´t know if the cable standard is version 3 or 4

I have a homebiult tower PC, built in 2014. I used a Corsair PSU RM450 80 PLUS Gold. The PSU has no gone dead so I need to replace it. I have been looking at a RMx Series RM650x 650W 80 PLUS Gold. Will it be possible to just replace the old PSU but still use the old cables (will the cable-plugs fit into the PSU), or do I have to replace the old cables as well ?
