  1. I'm a little late to the party but wanted to add my 2 cents. I am struggling with USB errors with just a Commander XT, a commander Core, H170 LED and NXT 850E PSU. Not every device works at the same time because of limited USB resources. The number of USB devices connecting in this config looks like you may run into similar problems. Another thread mentions that Corsair is working on new firmware to fix this problem but right now, I have to give up a USB-3 header to get everything to run concurrently.
  2. I read a post somewhere down the Internet rabbit hole that I am not about to ever find again. The gist of the post is that the USB bus on the motherboard have a limited number of ports that can be connected. These ports cannot be expanded by hubs or splitters, once you reach the port limitation, the bus is flooded. Devices like the LCD, Commander Core and Commander XT may have a connector to a single USB header, but internally needs multiple ports. I have looked for docs on a way around this limitation but have been unable to find any, One solution that seems to work for many people is to use USB3 to USB2 connectors to use the USB3 resources. I have the parts on order and plan to try that. Good luck.
