  1. Looking at the Amazon UK website, the 2021 model is priced GPD13.51 higher. The 2021 has the mag-lev fan, which is off most of the time anyway. I wouldn't lose any sleep over your purchase, either way you have a great power supply.
  2. Things I would try: Run CPU-Z. What is the reported Module Size and Part Number in the SPD tab? Run MemTest86. Take a picture of one of the modules with part and serial number. Post that here.
  3. What got my attention about your post was you writing Aorus, as I'm a big fan of Gigabyte motherboards for several years, and purchased two Aorus motherboards this past December. AFAIK, control of the RGB devices is a function of the Commander Core XT which comes with the 7000x case.
  4. The decision not to exchange has been made - not by me though. When I clicked on the PSU link, a 404 error wrapped in a cute dog appeared. More searching indicates they no longer have in stock. This was the 2021 model and comes with a 10 year warranty. That's fine. I have used Corsair warranty before and the process was totally fine. They really take good care of their customers. I'm hoping the PSU will work fine for years and years.
  5. I bought the RM650x off of Amazon, Amazon was the (authorized) seller, in early November 2021. When the box arrived, there was a significant impact and dent on the side of the box as pictured. The outer Amazon box was totally fine. The Corsair box was wrapped tight in shrink-wrap plastic. When I opened the box, the impact had been so strong as to cause a very slight dent on a corner of the metal housing. It really took a WHACK! The power supply as far as I can tell works fine. It's been used daily since Christmas day. I've never seen or heard the cooling fan spin, so don't know if it works. I can still return the power supply to Amazon through the end of January as an exchange. Amazon has been great for returns. What should I do? What would you do?
  6. Bad news, you cannot use the h100i v2 with LGA1700.
  7. Just made the observation on my system, my (2) DDR4 sticks glow the same color and pattern on power up. But once I log into Windows and iCUE loads, the sticks glow different colors as you describe. This would seem to point to the iCUE software and a configuration setting. I actually regret installing iCUE, as everything was working so nicely without it. But once I installed it the problems began. I now have things configured almost the same way when I wasn't using iCUE at all. Uninstalling iCUE doesn't return things to normal either so I'm stuck using it. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with your memory. You need to load iCUE and find the setting to make the sticks glow the same color and pattern if that's what you like. I actually like them appearing different. It adds spice to my life 🙂
  8. I absolutely love my Crystal 280x RGB case. Would have preferred it in black, but Amazon was only selling in white. My cat has sat on the tempered glass on top and no breakage, so no worries. Bought the Corsair LED accessory strips and now it's totally awesome. Installed an extra fan on top to exhaust, have it spinning around 400RPM, so it's all real quiet. Buy the case and be happy 🙂 As we all know, Corsair makes great products!
  9. According to my Google armchair research, you need to enable fTPM in the BIOS under Security, Trusted Computing. There is a workaround for installing Windows 11 without a TPM, but it appears the AMD Ryzen 5600x has a TPM inside. If the BIOS supports TPM then you're all set to install Windows 11 once TPM is enabled.
  10. Attaching a pic of the cable connected to my motherboard. It's using pin 1 as an extra 5 volts and pin 7 as another ground. Maybe what could be used is a standard mini USB cable, route it through an expansion bracket, and plug it into a rear USB port. Not the most elegant solution but should work without buying anything extra. Mini-USB cables are rare these days as most devices went to micro-USB.
